It was the early 2000s when I saw a need that was not being met when it came to substance abuse and quality treatment. And so we opened the first Soba location in Malibu in 2007. This place saved my life. The staff is friendly and they truly care about helping people. The nurses, therapists, doctors, and RA's are all amazing people. Even the upper management is involved with the day to day at all the facilities and their hard work makes the environment and experience as fun as possible. If your looking for a comfortable place to get your life together there is no better option. I highly recommend Soba to anyone who is looking for treatment. And the cookies are awesome!!!

I called Soba Mesa at 8:45am on a Saturday morning inquiring for a loved one who wanted to get some help. Chris answered the phone and was immediately willing and prepared to help us navigate this difficult phone call. He told us all about their facilities treatment options, costs for paying in cash vs using insurance as well as provide compassion and emotional support to a complete stranger on the phone. He even called me back when he encountered a hiccup with the insurance to make sure we had the opportunity to get it straightened out so it wouldn’t impact treatment. Ultimately our loved one

Before coming to Soba Mesa, my life was in complete destruction. I had lost relationships with family, friends and myself. There wasn’t a day that went past that I wasn’t drunk, and I couldn’t see a way out of my addiction. I thankfully made the decision one day to get help and reached out to Soba where Drake answered and helped me plan my trip out here the next day. It has now been ten months that I’ve been here, and not a day goes past that I am not grateful for this amazing place. I can now proudly say I am 10 months sober at age 19! I have never experienced such a caring and loving environment like Soba Mesa! I felt so comfortable to be myself the second I walked through the doors. The staff exceeded my expectations in care and will go out and beyond to help you and make this experience as comforting as possible. This place and their staff provide connection and care on a level unparalleled in the substance abuse industry. Nearly all of the staff have personal recovery experience and are able to meet patient needs and provide a safe atmosphere free from judgement. Soba gave me my life back. I was so nervous to go into treatment but right when I went into soba I got a calm warming feeling. Everyone is so friendly and it feels so homey. The RA’s are there for you and talk to you if you’re going through it. The groups are very helpful and felt comfortable right away. Drake that does the intakes is the best and super helpful !!

Having been other places I can honestly say soba is by far the best. Soba treated me like a human whereas other places I just felt like a number in the system. The staff was amazing and being treated by employees that have long term sobriety helped me see that this program works. Today I picked up my 3 year chip and couldn’t be more grateful for everything that soba has done for me! 10/10 would recommend this place!

SOBA played a huge part in my recovery. I spent a lot of time in and out of treatment, and I didn’t want to go anywhere else but SOBA. The staff is amazing and their program helped me to build the foundation for a life in recovery. After inpatient care, I decided to stick around and live in their sober living and attend the intensive outpatient program they offer. That turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. I honestly don’t know if I would be sober today without SOBA.

DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE! The clinical director is racist & discriminates against those struggling with substance abuse & mental health issues. If you are seeking detox or substance abuse treatment DO NOT GO HERE! The Soba staff will waste your time doing an evaluation/intake & then turn those in need away based on race, disabilities & mental health issues caused from substance abuse. They won't offer any solutions even after they complete an intake/evaluation. Extremely bad service!

I attended several rehabilitation programs spanning 6 years. By the time I went to Soba I had all but given up on myself after several failed attempts at sobriety. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were also very patient and understanding. They provided a therapist and a case manager who helped me get my affairs in order and gain employment. I can honestly say I don't know where I would be had I not went to Soba. They treated me like family. Soba is the only place I went to where I felt like the staff actually cared for me. I strongly suggest Soba to anyone who seeks treatment

This place is the best for Recovering from substance abuse. I put my son in several other places in the past few years, and nothing was as good as Soba! The staff is very caring....for real. They really want to help you get on a good solid road to recover from addiction. The recovery house is very clean and there is plenty of room, it kind of feels like you are recovering at home. The outpatient sober living program is very good as well.
Best of all, their program really works!
