Welcome and Thank You for taking the first step in familiarizing yourself with the services of our Licensed Senior Home Care Agency, "Nanny's for Granny's" located on Long Island NY, serving Manhattan to Montauk.
Our job is to provide qualified caregivers, CNA'S (Certified Nursing Assistant), HHA'S (Home Health Aid), PCA's (Personal Care Aid) for our aging parents or loved ones who are now confronted with Alzheimer's, Dementia, in need of Geriatric Care or for those who just may need a bit of companionship or elder care assistance to keep them safe while in the familiar surroundings of their Long Island home.

How do we go about choosing the right caregiver? A. The agency sets a date, time, and location, preferably where the assistance will take place, for 2 or 3 separate interviews. Prior to interviews, all caregivers go through our stringent background checks and we make sure they are willing to work the hours set forth by the client.

Below you will find a list of "Meals on Wheels" and "Senior Nutrition Programs" to assist families on fixed incomes or struggling to see their way through caring for Mom or Dad or a loved one. The list below is only a handful of the many food programs and senior home care available here on long island, NY.

I'm just shopping around the homecare world for my blind aunt. She has some health issues but the home she is in currently,they think she can return home with the RIGHT people in place. I was seeing reviews from both ends of the spectrum, and am curious about experiences from anyone who has used them.Also the cost having her nursing aide,and possibly a live in would cost,and this a good place to employ for a blind,65 yr old woman who drinks and smokes, although we do our best to regulate it,she will drink and smoke.

With my father in law being such a difficult person due to his dementia, it was a challenge finding the right aid for him. Although we went through several caregivers until we finally found the right person. The staff at NFG were definitely challenged. Nino was a blessing in disguise, and the staff at Nannys for Grannys were very patient right till the end. Im sorry I didn't post this review sooner. Sorry

Nannys for Grannys was highly recommended to me by brother in law. I hired them to care for my ill 98 year old mother. The staff in the office are outstanding!!! They made sure my mother was pleased with the aide and made sure all her needs were met. The aide was there with my mother until the end. I too would recommend this agency.

Worst home health care agency I've ever dealt with -- wish I could give zero or negative stars. I only give 1 or 2 stars in extreme cases, and this certainly warrants that.
Miscommunication or more like NO COMMUNICATION by care coordinators, Liz & Kim and aides that just wouldn't show up -- or ones that just came unannounced. And since I didn't know anyone was scheduled to come twice I was out running errands and my loved one had no way of answering the door. One such aide, Monique, arrived and made such a screaming, profanity yelling tantrum at the guard booth that I had neighbors

I hired this horrible agency to provide a companion to a mentally and physically disabled person. They sent a man with no previous caregiving experience who pretended to be there for 6 hours a day and he was NOT SHOWING UP AT ALL. He lied and he was billing us everyday. This agency was taking a percentage of his pay so they don't care. When we found out and confronted Nannys for Grannys they said they have no responsibility for the caregiver they sent. What? Then why do we use them to provide this service? They sent a guy who used to drive an ice cream truck! No refund. No apology. Nothing

Nannys For Grannys provided great patient care as well as customer service for my mother and father. Their caregivers really cared about my mother and father's well-being and displayed it on a daily basis. Not only the direct caregivers, but the local office was equally good as well. Thank you very much guys!

Words cannot describe how much I have appreciated their responsiveness and receptiveness to client needs. They have proved efficient in caring from both my geriatric and younger disabled clients. I would recommend this agency to anyone in need of in home care or even additional care for those residing in facilities.
