Allterra Environmental, Inc. is family owned, certified small (DGS# 1568700), environmental firm founded in Santa Cruz in 2004. Since our inception we have been focused on environmental compliance, energy, and our role in the Central Coast.

Our Geologic & Environmental division, Allterra Environmental, is focused around Professional Geologic services such as Environmental Site Assessment & Corrective Action, Storm Water Monitoring, and Geologic Hazard Investigations.Led by Certified Engineering Geologist, Professional Geologist, and Hydrogeologist Aaron Powers, our Environmental division is ready to help landowners and businesses with environmental compliance.
Allterra's roots are doing great work locally cleaning up dissolved MTBE, TCE, and benzene plumes. Since Allterra Env's founding in 2004, we have specialized in Site Investigation and Corrective Action work. Our site investigations provided soil, vapor, and groundwater data to represent environmental conditions in a Site Conceptual Model so Corrective Action can be evaluated.
Building in the Central Coast can be challenging. Fault Zones, Liquefaction Zones, Coastal Bluffs, Coastal Beaches, and Areas subject to landsliding or debris flows can present additional design and approval challenges for your Project. Geologic hazards are ubiquitous in the Central Coast.

From the San Andreas Fault zone to weak sedimentary rock prone to instability throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains, many natural features make the Central Coast a particularly hazardous region to build in when compared to other parts of California.Geologic Hazard Investigations are triggered during the planning phase of a project and require Geologic Hazards to be identified, mapped, and mitigated.
