Just picked up my car from D & B Bear Service. Wow! It runs like a brand new car. The shop was recommended by a co-worker. I called for an appointment and they said they were busy this week. That's a good sign. I dropped off the car when they opened at 8am on a Monday. I was home by 9:30am. A dealership wanted three times what I was charged here, and another mechanic shop in a different city diagnosed the issue incorrectly. The service was great. The price was awesome, and the time it took to do the job was amazing. I came home and told my neighbor, who has had his share of repair issues

This place is NOT a joke! This is the shop I have been looking for since I moved to Corvallis. My truck was running bad and knowing a few things about cars, was thinking at least $1000, just to make it run right. But the guys at D & B got it fixed and fixed other problems for right around $500. Runs like a new truck! The receptionist is a nice young lady who knows her stuff and those guys under the hood are great mechanics, and most of all , HONEST! They could have charged me a lot more but didn't. This place is a joke. We took our car here after some lights came on in the car. We had to wait quite a few hours just to find out that they couldn't find anything wrong. Here we are, a week later, with the car in the shop again because of an issue they didn't find! Now it's worse. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

UPDATE: I was recently in town running errands, and after the fourth stop, the car started but ran very rough--and the Check Engine light was on whereas it hadn't been before. I considered driving it to see if the problem cleared up on its own, but my gut told me it needed to be addressed ASAP. I drove about two miles to D & B, let them know what happened, and they assigned a mechanic to it after only a few minutes. He diagnosed a bad injector, but after he installed it, the car still wasn't running properly and they needed to keep it overnight. After telling them that I live out

These guys saved me about $2,000 from what the Honda dealership wanted to charge me for a necessary repair (not to mention a week's car rental!), and they got me out the door before a holiday weekend. Being a young woman who knows very little about cars, I’m used to mechanics taking advantage of that and charging extra or being condescending and rude. Not D&B! I took my car here with a laundry list of problems and within three days had every single thing taken care of for a fair and reasonable price. They went through the list with me one by one and answered any questions I had. If I ever need my car fixed again, I’ll definitely come here!

I work in downtown Corvallis. I contacted D & B to schedule an appointment to check some issues I had with my car. The staff worked me into their schedule sooner than I had expected. I recently went here for an inspection on my car, which cost me $100. I read on their website that they will do a two-page report. However, I think this report is only if you are buying a vehicle because I did not receive one. I instead received a list of mileage recommended services that I should complete.

Referred by Les Schwab. Steve was helpful and agreed to work on my old Jag that my daughter had towed in for brake failure. I'm in California and made all arrangements over the phone. Brought it in the afternoon late. Car was done by 10 am the next day. The price was reasonable and customer service was excellent. I would recommend them for all out of state parents with kids at school there. My daughter was very happy with their service too.

I would not recommend this shop at all. I went in to simply get my brakes fixed. I was told that it would take a max of 45 min to get it on a rack and let me know if the rotors were ok or not. It wasn't for 3 hours until they finally called me to tell me it would take another hour and a half to finish my brakes. Which is very long for only 2 brakes. However that hour and a half turned into almost 3 hours before they were done.
