Our hair styling salon is located on Chester Lighting Showroom plaza, just minutes away from the center of Chester, Long Valley (Washington Twp.), and Flanders (Mount Olive Twp.). Please see the satellite view of the building on the map for easy recognition. From Rt. 24 (Mendham): Please head west on W Main St. (Co Hwy 510); continue on Washington Turnpike (Co Hwy 510), which becomes Main St. Bear left to stay on Main St. (Co Hwy 513).

I have been seeing Margot for the past 4 years for highlights and haircuts. When I tell you that she not only is the kindest, most genuine soul, but one of the best hair stylists in all of New Jersey, I mean it. My hair is incredibly thick and curly—but she is able to do wonders to it. She is constantly evolving and learning how to apply different techniques to all hair textures. She’s the best! 10/10 highly recommend!

Salon is extremely clean and professional. Margot is an excellent owner operator, extremely detailed and kind hearted whenever I come in for my haircut and beard trim. I travel over 30 minutes one way to the salon to make sure Margot cuts my hair now, I would highly recommend this place to anyone

Very bad customer service Margot the owner very unprofessional i couldn't make it to my appointment and I called to explain why she told me not to come back to her salon when I did go there her hair coloring product was not to good and her haircuts thank God I just ask for a trim still gave her a nice size tip I won't recommend this place to know one

Margot has been my stylist for more than 15 years. I don’t trust my hair to anyone else! Whether it’s a new look for me: curly hair, keratin, color, highlighting…I’ve never been anything less than delighted with Margot’s work. Margot listens to what you want and then works her magic! She is so friendly and caring. You get more than great haircare from Margot - she’s the absolute BEST.

I really wanted to like this place based on reviews. They stylists were super nice. But the place is a little bit grungy and looks like it needs a good cleaning. I have long wavy hair and wanted just a trim with some long layers. I literally have hair at two different lengths now. So bad that I might have to go get a haircut just to fix it, which is annoying since I was growing my hair out to donate it by next year.

I have been looking for a new hair studio so when I saw there was a groupon for this place I decided to give it a try. The staff is amazing. Alice is intuitive and knew exactly how to cut my hair. Between the customer service and expertise, this has been the best hair experience I ever had. I can't wait to go back!

I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with Margot on January 11th. The haircut appointment was done on short notice (made the morning of) and the haircut itself was phenomenal. The conversation we had was very thoughtful and we covered a variety of topics - a real conversationalist! I have gotten my hair done by a close friend for the past few years, but he was unavailable on short notice this time, which is why I stopped into Studio 42.
