We recommend annual physical exams for your pet to ensure that your pet is receiving the best medical attention and is on schedule for appropriate pet vaccinations to maintain optimal health.
How should I prepare for my pet's annual appointment? An annual exam is a standard procedure that we conduct but it is up to you to keep watch and make notes about your pet's health and behavior. Our comprehensive full body examination of your pet will help ensure optimal health. Please come to us with anything that you notice or any questions that you may have.
Your first visit to Altizer Veterinary Clinic establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you and your pet. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your pet's medical history, and give you time to get to know the doctor. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more.
One of our team members will call you back to confirm your request. We operate primarily on an appointment basis, however we also accommodate emergency cases. Please Note: We ask that you have your pet on leash upon entering the vet hospital. This way, you can prepare for any unpredictable reactions from your pet or that of another.

Our older dog was sick. Thought we would be saying goodbye. But Dr.Altizer took a look and once he was done our old boy is bouncing back. Dr.Altizer is wonderful, down to earth and very knowledgeable. Not to mention fair priced. Would recommend him to any family for their fur babies. His knowledge and caring demeanor are out of this world.

We believe Dr. Altizer literally saved our cat. He (Fisher) started having an issue on the weekend so we had to take him to Med Vet. They kept him going until we could see Dr. Altizer that week. Doc gave Fisher 2 shots and he is doing fine now. We ate truly graeful because our cats are part of our family.
