Services
At Magic Building Block Preschool & Childcare Center we understand that each child is a unique individual. Different temperaments and learning styles of the young children in our care is something we expect, accept, and even encourage. Children learn best through play and in those early childhood years, they should be filled with a happy ones while experiencing a variety of meaningful hands-on play and learning.
Our facility offers many different opportunities for learning by doing, self-expression and participation in a variety of creative activities. Activities are planned in the areas of language arts, social studies, science, mathematics, health, music and motor development. We do not offer Television and there are no videos be shown in our facility.

I highly recommend Magic Buliding Block! My daughter has been attending since she was 6 weeks old, she will be 3 in July. My son also attended for a year. Chris and her staff are truly wonderful people. Chris does what it takes to make you happy. She has gone above and beyond on more than one occasion to help me and my family. She is simply the best!! The other staff are truly amazing as well. The way they love and care for the children is something any parent would admire. Thank you all for being so great!!!

At first my brother was learning in this school. I saw improvement in his speech and he began to learn his colors as well. But I cannot help but too feel as if this school doesn’t know how to work with troubled children. Children get upset, have attitudes, and sometimes they fight which isn’t right, but it happens. I am very understanding of that but my brother, who is only a toddler, has been leaving school with bruises from bite marks on his face and and arms and deep scratches on his face. The staff here is excellent and well trained, they are gentle with the children and do all that they can to make sure that each child is healthy, happy and well educated. I've recently come across a review that was way out of line, maybe back in the old days it was that horrible for that one person, but today, it is a wonderful place to take your children for their childcare needs. It's under different management so the difference between what that person experienced and now is very different, it's a very good place. We love Magic Building Block! We feel that developmentally they give the children the tools to succeed! There's plenty of room to run and play and learn from their little friends as well as the kind and caring teachers. There's an obvious attention to detail and the environment is always bright and cheery with artwork done by the children to match the season or holiday. A fantastic find!

I am a 32 year old man now. but i do remember the experience of being a 4 year old child at magic building blocks when they were located on 50 not far from schnucks. i'm not going to get into alot of detail about everything because i have very little memories about that place being so young then. i do remember some of the staff back then used duct tape on our mouth's to keep us quiet. i remember sitting with my mouth taped shut and not crying or anything but looking around at some of the other boys screaming with their mouths taped shut.i never gave it any thought until i was a teenager and i told

This is hands down the BEST daycare I have ever sent my child to. We are moving back to Pittsburgh soon, and I wish we could take them with us! My son (now 2 1/2) has been attending Magic for more than a year and he is always so excited to go to school. They are very clean and serve healthy meals and snacks. They also really help the children improve on their cognitive and fine motor skills through lots of activities and play. I would recommend this to anyone, as their quality is outstanding and their prices can't be beat.
