We have held this reputation over the decades because we listen to our clients, anticipate their future needs, and evolve, as a firm, to meet those needs.

Services
Maggio Kattar represents individuals, corporations, and other institutions from across the nation and around the world on all matters related to United States immigration and nationality law as well as in global visa matters.
The firm's attorneys provide expert guidance in employment-based cases for executives, engineers, technology professionals, scientists, physicians, artists, and other highly skilled foreign workers; waivers of the two-year foreign residence requirement for physicians and other exchange visitors.

John Nahajzer worked with me for 10 years on various aspects of my work and immigration into the US. We successfully obtained an L1A visa and associated renewals, and subsequently a Green Card. John was excellent throughout, as was his team of paralegals. Having had some experience with other lawyers, I cannot rate John highly enough!
Michael was our beloved colleague, mentor, teacher, and friend. Justice, the rule of law, and human rights were the core principles that guided Michael's legal practice and personal philosophy. Michael fought for fairness and equal protection under the law. He profoundly affected the legal landscape of immigration law and beyond, and did so with tremendous wit, skill, and bravado.
Maggio Kattar is proud of our tradition of helping the immigrant community as well as the local communities in which we work. The social and economic challenges within the U.S. immigration community are deep and wide-ranging. Sharing our expertise, our time and our funding to support local and nationwide non-profit agencies has long been part of the fabric of our firm.
Maggio Kattar attorneys have a reputation for excellence, not only among their clients, but also within the legal community. They are recognized by their peers for their outstanding legal services and continued commitment to finding practical solutions to complex immigration issues that span the immigration law field.

THIS IS THE WORST OFFICE IN THE COUNTRY
I’m really sick and tired of them. I feel hopeless, disappointed and stressed out. I had my consultation with this firm in 2016 and they told me its going to take around 6 month for finalizing it. I have been waiting sine then and no action has been taken. Since they filed my application six attorneys have been alternating it and I never got informed that who ever is working on it will be replaced. They NEVER emailed me about any update and when I email them to ask if there is any update, it takes

Please read most of the comments. My observations are exactly in line with them: Maggio Kattar (a) are slow in response, (b) provide and prepare incorrect documents, that include errors and mistakes, (c) often use old documents instead of revised or updated versions, (d) do not communicate pro-actively, and, most importantly, (e) do not inform you about changes in immigration law or current circustances. Jim Alexander is the worst immigration attorney you can find anywhere - maybe the other few with Maggio Kattar are better. But Jim and his paralegals are role models in how NOT to treat a client

This is one of those firms that has figured out that corporations will spend $$$ on immigration consulting/help and they don't need to provide a very expedient experience to retain that help apparently.
Billable hours are MILKED and processing times are terribly long. So long you will wonder why you even needed their help, you can often write up the justification for whatever you paid them to do faster than they can.
I'm not sure why my company uses this firm. They literally make processes take MUCH longer than they would without their help for BASIC visa requests. I cannot recommend them at

Honestly, save yourself from the trouble and look elsewhere. They do not care about your case at all they don't even reply your most urgent emails. You only get more anxious day by day waiting for updates that they should have told you about a month ago. It's probably too much clutter in their office that they lose track of things easily. If you work with them, you will be the only person that really care about the case and you'd spend so much more time googling stuff and asking questions elsewhere. My company somehow works with this law firm so we have no other choices. They are incompetent.

I would NOT recommend this firm due to the low quality of their work product, the long time they would use to prepare the case, and the lack of communications/responsiveness.
First, lack of efficiency and overpromise about the time that they would use. They seem have a pattern to overpromise you about their efficiency when they had reach out conversations with you. In the first reach out meeting, the partner told me that it would take 3 weeks to prepare the petition, but in the end it took them around 9 weeks-- this was after we submitted all the required documents. When we received the negative

Met with one of their lawyers. More than a month later and after multiple emails and phone calls, her assistant emailed me about some documentation that I had already submitted. When I asked about their lack of responsiveness, she replied that they were busy. When I asked to be refunded my initial consultation fee, since I was not going to hire them, she told that they would keep since the 30-day window had expired.
Would not recommend them to anyone. Ever.

I wanted to use this firm of immigration lawyers as they came recommended to me by my institution, but I was told the person I needed to speak to was "not available" at all times, and the receptionist responded rudely that she could not tell me when they might be available. At all. Taking my business elsewhere.
