Kathryn's passion for baking started at a young age when she received her first easy bake oven. Over the years, her love for baking grew and she longed to one day have a career in cake design. After attending Kennesaw State University and earning a degree in marketing, she pursued a corporate job that left her wildly unfulfilled.
She decided to follow her heart in pursuit of her confectionery dreams. She spent several delectable years as an apprentice to a well-known cake designer which gave her the confidence and skill set she needed to launch her own business. Lush Cakery was born and her business has grown from word of mouth to a full-time career.

Services
Our specialty cakes start at $6 per person which includes 2 different cake flavors, fillings and basic buttercream design. Custom fondant designs start at $7 per person. There is a 100 person minimum for wedding cakes and 50 person minimum for special occasion cakes. We are also offering specials for elopements and micro weddings.

Kat at Lush Cakery is AMAZING! She made my wedding cakes and the were perfect. I tried several different cake places in the area and nothing came close to Lush Cakery.
Kat truly appreciates flavor and design. She was a delight to work with throughout the entire process, even after changing our original date. The tasting is personalized and you get large portions of very delicious cake. We tasted 5 flavors during our tasting but ended up choosing 2 flavors: lemon and salted caramel. Both were perfectly flavored and the cakes were fluffy with a moist crumb.

I gave Kat free reign with our cake design and it was absolutely perfect. This is also the most delicious wedding cake I have ever had. I made sure to do our cutting on the outdoor porch after dinner before heading in to dance so everyone knew to grab a piece. Almost all of it was gone at the end of the night and I have gotten so many compliments about it from guests!

She was so easy to communicate with, facilitated an easy and enjoyable cake tasting, and makes the absolute best cake I've ever had! I had the best experience with Lush! We tasted her cakes and fell in love. It was a very easy experience and she was really accommodating. My groom was sick so couldnt come to the tasting, but they made me a to-go plate so that he could try the different flavors at home when he was feeling better! She also personalized our cake with our cat! Such a personalized detail we thought turned out so well!!!

We were a little hesitant to have a wedding cake until we tasted Kat's wedding cakes. Our wedding planner recommended her as one of her top wedding cake bakers so we were excited to try them. We did not expect to love her cakes so much. Every flavor we tried we were obsessed with. She is super talented when it comes to baking cakes and her icing is amazing. We chose the Cinnamon and the White Raspberry Amaretto as our two flavor options for our 3 layer cake.

Kat was absolutely incredible! We needed an elopement cake in a short period of time and she was very accommodating. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we weren't able to test taste her cake. We decided on a flavor based on what we knew we liked and her most popular flavor. We got the vanilla cake with raspberry and white mouse. We got the cake a few days before the elopement and I was worried it wasn't going to be moist on the day of. My fiance and I had our fair share of underwhelming wedding cakes so wanted to find a baker with high standards. After our first bite at the tasting, we knew we had to go with Lush Cakery. Her cakes were moist and creative, and not too sweet. We had a TON of people coming up to us during and after the wedding raving about the cake! One guest even told us he started passing the cake out to guests because it was so good he wanted to make sure everyone had some. We wouldn't recommend going with anyone other than Lush!

Such a cute little spot on the Marietta Square. The cake is absolutely delicious. We had a slice of the salted caramel cake and it was the best slice of cake I've ever had! My niece loved the cake pop as well.

We found Kat through our friend who had got married at the wheeler house and we LOVED the taste of her cake that we later asked for her number. She just opened a new location in downtown marietta that is super cute and very well decorated. I attended an event where Lush Cakery had catered the dessert. The cupcakes were beautifully handcrafted, and indescribably delicious! My husband and I sampled four different flavors that night and we couldn't get over how scrumptious they were. We raved about the cupcakes for weeks to come, even joking that we should get married again so we can have Lush Cakery do our wedding cake. Seriously, the next time I know of a friend in need of cake or cupcakes, I will insist that they give Lush a call.

We hired Lush Cakery to cater dessert at a large event for our Emory Evening MBA program and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience working with Kat and her company.
