At Hargett Wrestling our mission is to create a positive place for our youth to develop good character, discipline, and self-respect. We believe in providing strong, encouraging mentors to teach our youth the importance of integrity and perseverance. Coach David Razo is extremely gifted and technical wrestling coach.
Our team of Instructors and Professional Athletes are internationally ranked champion. Black belts with many years of teaching experience, they bring together their experience as coaches and athletes to inspire and help you to achieve your goals. Steve Hargett is a Combat Veteran (USMC) and First Degree Black Belt under Xande Ribeiro.

I decided to get back into Jiu Jitsu after being away from it for 13 years due to a freak accident (non- Jiu Jitsu related) that resulted in a compressed vertebrae; I broke my back. Great place for all level of jiu jitsu students to begin or build upon prior training experience. The beginner program is a great way for students with no experience to establish a solid foundation of fundamentals to build upon. Also great refresher for higher ranking students. The staff is friendly, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. I love training here. 🐲💥🐲

I cannot recommend Six Blades Jiu Jitsu La Quinta highly enough! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional. They have created an environment that my daughters LOVE, and that is beneficial for people of all skillsets - from elite athletes to bumbling beginners like me. I am so grateful to have Six Blades in our community, and my entire family is better because of them!

If you’re a beginner looking to try jiu jitsu for the first time or a seasoned competitor looking to up your game, Six Blades La Quinta is the perfect place for you. They have both advanced and beginners courses to fit your level of jiu jitsu. The facility is clean, the environment is friendly, and the staff are awesome. Instructors Chris and Steve Hargett are very knowledgable and fantastic teachers who show what they teach in class out on the competitor stage. I’d give this place more then 5 stars but Google wont let me.

Six Blades is one of the best places in the Valley to learn BJJ. The team is incredibly welcoming to new folks and has a great beginner program. They have a good mix of people who have a lot of experience as well as people like me who are very new. Everyone I've encountered there had been genuinely interested in helping me get better.

I used to train at another small academy and I always wondered if my professor was really as good as we thought, I feel this is a common question that every student must ask themselves but here at Six Blades there is no question.

Steve and Chris have great methodology approach of teaching techniques. They make complex techniques look simple. I was able to pick great details from techniques taught while visiting their gym. Thanks, Steve for coached guard passes with great details & drills (Toreando and Leg Drag) and Chris for teaching Back Escapes . Great place to leaning Jiujutsu in La Quinta CA.

I love training at Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu La Quinta! They are extremely welcoming and make you feel like you are part of more then just another jiu jitsu school or team, but part of a jiu jitsu family. The instruction here is not only top notch, high level jiu jitsu, but the instructors and coaches here truely care about helping their students not only learn and progress in their jiu jitsu journey but push them and guide them to reach their personal goals.
