Came out on holiday to Palm Desert and wanted to train while on my trip. I was lucky to come across Hurricane BJJ. The Professor was very welcoming and open to drop ins. The students were all pretty relaxed and helpful when it came to rolling. Had a great experience at Hurricane BJJ and would recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

Both my daughters and I have been taking classes here for a few months and I can't speak highly enough of it. Josh is an incredible teacher, as are the assistant teachers Anthony and The General. The atmosphere is exactly what it should be - there's nobody here who wants to show you how tough they are (despite some of them being very, very skilled), everyone is very friendly, and they have been very helpful to me as a beginner. My kids also love the classes, and are doing better at home and school than they were before starting class.

I recommend this gym for anyone who is interested in learning and/or train in BJJ. I've been coming consistently to this gym for a year for several reasons. Professor Joshua Dubinsky is an excellent instructor.… He explains and displays techniques with detail and clarity. He is extremely courteous and motivates you to be at your best. My training partners within this gym are also very friendly and helpful with knowledgable details in technique, always willing to invest their time to helping you improve your game.. I can only assume its a reflection of Professor Dubinsky's teachings. All

Josh is a superb instructor. He is very detailed when teaching techniques and goes over them slowly to make sure you got it down. Very humbling and welcoming guy. The environment in the academy is so relax that you almost don't want to leave once class is done. If you're ever in the desert and want a place to train, this is it!

I had the privilege of training at hurricane bjj for over a week visiting from out of town. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere with minimal egos and good vibes. Professor Josh treated me like one of his own students and took time to break down technique with precise details. If I was to live in Palm Springs, no doubt I would train here and would highly recommend hurricane bjj to all levels from beginners to advanced.

My family and I are in town for the weekend. I shot Professor Josh message on FB messager letting him know I was visiting and looking for a place to train. He responded and invited me to train. What a great way to start a Friday. If you are ever visiting from out of town drop in and train with these guys and if you live local this is a great place to train. Great technique, very nice studio and everyone was very inviting. Thank you again hurricane bjj for starting off my weekend on the right foot. Very welcoming coach and team. We have been lucky enough to train with prof. Josh and his squad twice while traveling to Palm Springs. Everyone is friendly and open to rolling, lots different body types and levels to train with. The gym is clean and offers a lot of mat space and room for drilling, it’s equipped with s&c equipment bags too. Josh’s… teaching is high level and he offers very good technique and adjustments and breaks everything down well, so both beginners and advanced students can get a great lesson. Wow! What an awesome place to train. I had the chance to join Josh and the team for 2 sessions while traveling in the area. Everyone made me feel extremely welcome and I picked up a couple of great new techniques. Love the spirit and highly recommend to anyone thinking about visiting! I had an amazing experience at Hurricane BJJ. I was traveling to Palm springs for vacation and always enjoy learning from new coaches and schools. The instructors were great and the community was very welcoming. I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend Hurricanne BJJ to anyone that is interested in bjj, looking for a new place to train or traveling to Palm Springs.

I flew in from Seattle to get some sun and I did a drop in at this academy this evening. One of the best jiujitsu experiences I’ve had traveling out of state. The moment I walked in I knew this was the place I wanted to train at while in town. The facility was in great condition. After speaking with Joshua, the instructor, afterward and finding out he did all the work with his own hands i had even more respect for the place.
I arrived a bit early before the adult class and watched him coach the kids. It was a large kids class and he taught with great attention and playfulness for the youth,
