I started this process about two years ago with the help of Marc and Melanie.
From the get go they made me feel extremely comfortable and explained the process very well. They kept me informed throughout every court appearance and the lead up to them. Unfortunately I have an ex husband who loves to fight about everything, so we were in court quite often. I have had attorneys in the past to help me with my divorce and never-ending child custody battles, but Marc and Melanie stood out compared to the others. I highly recommend both of them for any family disputes.

Hughes law group grossly overcharged me in my divorce case. I came to them in my darkest day for assistance in dissolution of my marriage. After 11 months and $59,000 I still sat in the same place. No spousal support. No child support. No access to my joint checking accounts, joint investment accounts, joint business accounts. Nothing. They charged me paralegal rates for secretarial work. The only saving grace was the fee arbitrator who agreed that I did not need to pay the additional $12,000 they kept billing me. I highly discourage any one from using this law firm.

The office staff Trish is rude and demanding. She threatened me because I do not understand the legal portion and I requested backup documentation.
That I have yet to receive. She threatened me with paying fees. All this information should have been sent at one time. We went to court June 5, 2020 and my ex just submitted the paperwork. He held it for 7 months and they want to sign blindly.

Unbelievably bad experience. Mr. Hughes was a referral from a long time well respected friend who also practices law. When I initially met Mr. Hughes I was impressed, Very likable , intelligent classy guy, however that doesn't get the job done and he and his firm certainly dropped the ball.

Mr. Hughes is someone you want to help you get through you legal issues; believe me mine was complex and messy. He helped me drive my divorce over the finish line and gave me confidence to stand up for myself. He really does seem to care about his clients AND he has deep knowledge of the law. Had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Mr Hughes in what should have been a simple divorce. Mr Hughes ran up the legal bill for what should have been a simple uncontested case. My advice...if your looking for a large legal bill with a nasty attorney; Mr Hughes is your man. Go down the hall and see Mark Grotewohl instead. He's one of the rare honest divorce attorneys out there.

BEWARE!This firm is horrible!!!Absolutely money hungry and no job is done. The wife loves to send the emails for money and act all nasty. It's her husband NOT doing his job!!
I had two offers come over from opposing. I spent money on phones calls and emails being read, for a billing fee by Marc, for this offer to decline. The offer came back again in May and I was asked to read it and it said in the email this was a second time of sending over(from opposing). So more phone calls and emails sent and nothing was ever

Recently sat down to a consultation with Mr. Hughes in reference to my child custody case. Speaking to the staff (Michelle) beforehand was a great experience she was so unbelievably kind and understanding while still professional and informative I knew this was where I wanted to receive consultation.

I had a small business with my brother and it came to the point where we started putting money into running it out of our own pocket and could not afford running it anymore. We had no choice but to file a bankruptcy. No other bankruptcy lawyer would take our case since they would always turn us down by saying that it is not a good case and there is nothing to gain out of it. So we were turned down so many time for this. We were devastated and did not know where and to whom to turn to anymore.

It was a simple divorce, my ex wasn't contesting on anything that I asked for. So why did it take 2 years, and why did I empty my 401K account to them when they did NOTHING for me...... and it's still not done. Went to the court MYSELF and the clerk even said they filled out my paperwork wrong, all this for the price of everything I had in my 401K!!!! They did this to drag out my case which was SIMPLE! Never trust them! And I am a single parent!!!! They hurt me, hurt my family financially! :( They have no compassion. All they see is $$$. When they moved offices, they charged

What ever you do DO NOT hire Hughes Law Group. I had a super simple divorce - no child custody issues - no real estate - all we had were credit cards and personal property. It took 2 years and $12,000 to complete my divorce. Every time I talked to Marc I had to refresh his memory on my case. I had to constantly call his office for updates. He did not stand up for me. I lost personal sentimental items because Marc did not word the agreement correctly. I WOULD NOT REFER HIM TO ANYONE!
