Taekwondo is the traditional Korean martial art which translates as the "art" or "way" of foot and fist fighting. Even though its translation refers to a fighting art, Taekwondo training offers a myriad of benefits to its practitioners. Through introduction to habits of fitness and gross motor skills, students evolve mentally and physically through traditional, yet progressive training methods.
Our Taekwondo training camp is an all-day event that is one of the highlights of the year. Students and parents alike look forward to wilderness training and team building in the beautiful outdoors! We hold an Annual Invitational Tournament to test the skills of Taekwondo practitioners in Board breaking, traditional Poomse and in Competition sparring.
When you enter Hansoo Taekwondo Academy, the first difference you will notice is the large training areas. Instead of the tiny spaces most other schools use, we have over 4200 square feet of space. Plenty of room for student training and for parents to sit comfortably. Our school is clean and orderly.
Taekwondo has taught me many things. It has taught me to be healthy, serious, and most of all respectful. Daily training has made me active and prepared. Not only that, at Hansoo TaeKwonDo, I feel as if I am part of a community, or something bigger. And I am. Having Master Chasse as an instructor is a great and hard working experience.

My son has been going here for almost 4 years, and he loves it. Mr. Chasse has an incredible way of getting and keeping the attention of even the most problem children. He's serious about the art, and you can tell that he is in it more for the love of the art than just because it's a decent job for him.
Also, important to me, I would not consider this a belt factory like I've heard of from so many other parents and I've seen from my son's previous TKD experience.
My entire family had since started here and we're not disappointed. The fitness and mindfulness you learn here as an adult are just

Wonderful traditional taekwondo studio. Rates are reasonable for individuals and families. This is not a martial arts studio that offers kids parties as a gimmick but teachers honor, respect, perseverance, and community. Master Chasse is an excellent teacher for students of all ages and offers a wonderful program for students on the autism spectrum.

My daughter started marital arts at another place in town, but when it was time for my son to start, we shopped around for a better experience. From the first conversation I had with Master Chasse, I could tell that he was a professional and passionate about Taekwondo. (His pricing is the lowest in town which speaks to the fact that he cares more about the art he's teaching than making a large profit.) He teaches the traditions of martial arts in a way that is engaging, fun and meaningful. Students learn self-control, coordination, physical fitness and leadership skills. There are classes six days

My child has attended this school for 5+ years now and I can say that I feel its a wonderful thing for my child to experience! This is a great school for your children to learn a martial art from an expert who truly loves the art and all the things that go with it (discipline, respect, physical conditioning, etc.). The head instructor/Owner is absolutely wonderful with kids and my wife calls him a male Marry Poppins (no disrespect intended). his patience with kids is second to none (better than me with 2 kids) and to attest to this he even teaches autistic kids in a dedicated program. Seriously

Pros :
Tae Kwon Do is excellent physical exercise.
Space - The space is quite nice.
Cons :
Money Oriented. As the owner ears his living from school, they are money oriented. This is not unique to the school, and many other studios have this trait.
Summary :
If your in the area and want to try it out, it might be a good fit for you.

The comment posted by "everyone" appears off mark based on my years of experience and interactions with Hansoo TaekwonDo and Mr. Chasse.
The chemistry between teacher and student is critical to the successful training within any martial arts, and finding the right school for training is part of the process. I trained for years at Hansoo, as did my son, and we both achieved black belt over time. We are extremely proud of our training and our experiences working with Mr. Chasse, and continue our relationship today outside of training.
Many schools are profit driven, often the single source of revenue
