Little Dragons are provided with patches each month as a reward for good listening and attendance. 1st Red Stripe shows a basic understanding of about 1/2 of the material on the requirement sheet. Black Stripe (3rd Stripe) shows a working knowledge of the material on the belt sheet with a level of proficiency.
Our dragons program is designed to challange students who are 6 to 10 years old while not over whelming them to the point of frustration. As they get older and their rank increases the challenges increase appropriately. The program is designed to develop all the skills required to achieve a Junior Black Belt.
Each belt level provides challenges to each student. Instructors provide detailed instruction in a way that is meaningful to each individual student. Our goal is to provide each student with the tools necessary to accomplish their goals whether they are fitness, personal protection, a Black Belt or the friendships of the students and the staff.

My kids have done all types of sports and activity and this has been their favorite. The other kids and families are nice. The price is affordable and I love that they do 4 classes a week. The classes are fun but are also very practical. The price is reasonable and on the lower end of martial arts schools and they don't make you sign ridiculous contracts. This was everything I was looking for in a Martial Arts school.

We have been going to Connecticut Kenpo for almost a year with our 7 year old son and we LOVE Professor Lee Anne and Wayne. They keep a positive environment within the studio but always challenge their students. Lee Anne is so involved with the children and their extra curricular activities outside of karate and Wayne is very helpful and responsive with any and all questions and concerns. We cannot say enough great things about them and their wonderful studio and the sifus and students they have teaching classes and working with the children.
