J & A Automotive was originally owned and started by John Bommerito back in 1979 with zero employees. Indeed, it was a complete one-man operation. It wasn't until 1989 that brothers Gabe and Jacob Rincon joined the J & A Automotive team as mechanics, specializing in Honda and Toyota vehicles only at that time.
Understanding the importance of vehicle maintenance, which is why we'll always let you know what type of service is recommended at different mileage intervals. Vehicles take much more than oil changes to keep them healthy, so we'll thoroughly inspect all of your other fluids as well.

Wife's car would not start right before work! Managed to jump start it so I can drop it off at J & A with no appointment. I figured, whenever they get to it it's still better than being stranded and have to tow it from somewhere else... When I got there and presented the problem, Gabe came out and said, "let's check it out real quick, and if it's the battery, we can swap it out in 15 minutes." Wow! I was blown away, considering their next appointment isn't until next week. Long story short, I was in and out within 20 minutes. Their customer service is unbelievable! Thanks Gabe and J & A!

They are completely honest and affordable. I highly recommend them for your car repair needs. Frank was straight forward and told me exactly what was wrong with my car. I took my car (with appointment) and got it back the same day. Frank is the sweetest, treated me like family. Everyone at the office was amazing too. They were recommended by a neighbor and I'm very thankful for discovering such a great place to get my car repairs from now on!

There is only one thing I can say about Frank and J&A Auto, if you need your vehicle serviced, take it to them. They are reputable, honest and experienced. Finding those qualities in this day and age is not easy. I'm a skeptic and this company has turned me into a believer. They did a multitude of things to my 1993 Chevy Silverado, they did the work in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. I am more than satisfied. Thank You J&A Auto, Thank You Frank.

I called for some help with my car issues; although they don't handle the mechanical issue I was having; they pointed me to a good resource to fix my issue. Other repair shops could have told me they can handle the issue without having any experience in repairing the issue. The honesty and helpfulness was superb.

I brought my Range Rover into be "blacked-out" and J & A did a terrific job. I had gone in a few times over the last year with the intent to get this done but didn't pull the trigger on it until this week and they honored the price they quoted me originally and took painstaking time to make sure everything was done correctly. Very happy with the work and would recommend to anyone thinking of getting auto body work done of their vehicle. You won't be disappointed.

The most honest Mechanic shop around. Frank and his family are just honest hard working people. I have multiple cars and take them all to this shop. I even had a Transmission shop who could not diagnose a problem send me to J&A. That is how I found out about them. Just a solid well run business. And yes they fixed the Transmission problem.

I've been coming here for the past six months and I've already had to bring in my truck a couple times because it's older and high in mileage and they've always given me an amazing deal and always had my truck back to me as soon as possible. They always explained everything to me and gave me an itemized list of what was done and what parts were put on it. By far it's the best customer service I've ever had in the automotive industry. I trust them to do the job and get it done right the first time and that's says a lot for a mechanic shop.

This automotive business is HONEST!!!
I went to moss bro's dodge dealership in Riv. They said I had 2 blown head gaskets. I took it here for a second opinion. They found moss dealerships mechanic put in a feature part that would have destroyed my engine. That fraud part would turn off all the fans and overheat my 2010 challenger to early engine failure! It's still a possibility they hurt my engine but 3 weeks after towing it away from moss motors directly here my wife is still driving her car without any blown head gasket just a bad mechanic at moss dodge. I will never go to a dealership

This place was referred to us by some friends who have been going there for years. After taking our car to the Honda dealership in Corona, we were told we needed front and back breaks and ASAP which was going to run us almost $600. We decided to check around and that's when we found out about this spot. Come to find out, we only needed front breaks, the back ones were still fine. I really appreciate how honest they were. They easily could have said we needed them all also but they didn't.
They saved us a LOT of money too which is a big plus. This will be our new shop for any future car

Jacob, Gabe, and Frank are a rockstar team. I've had them perform multiple repairs on my truck and family cars. Recently, my AC was blowing hot air from the vents. I discovered a leak in the condenser (a common problem on the 2014-19 Sierra's). I contacted the dealer and they quoted $1200 to repair and charge the system. J & A total cost was just a bit over half. Keep up the great work gents!

I've had 2 terrible experiences with J&A Automotive. A few years ago we brought our Kia Sorrento in to get the air-conditioning fixed and it took them a very long time to figure out the problem and billed us a ton in labor because they can't identify things quickly. Something that should've cost maybe 500 bucks they charged us $900 and it still gave us issues after that. Then we wanted to give them one more try based on a friends recommendation and again they charged us $500 to replace a 12 V battery in a Prius. The battery replacement should've only been about 275 bucks

Gabe, Jacob and Frank are by far the best people to deal with. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable. They communicate with you as if you're their family. I've been taking my vehicles and my families vehicles to them for years. Just recently, I purchased an additional sprinter van for my business. I needed it desperately for my employee to drive and it was having issues with AC. Gabe and Jacob displayed a vested interest in my business that they stayed later to ensure the vehicle was operable. Their sense of urgency is outstanding. I highly recommend them!

Fist time using these guys. They did some work on some work trucks for the company I work for. So I figured I would try them out. I have a 2001 Ford F-150 super crew. Had some oil pressure issues and I was pretty sure I needed the timing chains done. Had them look at and give me an estimate. The work was done fast they used factory parts because he said he had some issues with aftermarket stuff. The truck now sounds quieter now than when I bought it in 2003. These guys are a solid shop. That is a hard thing to find nowadays. I think the owners name is Gabe nice guy same with the other guy Frank
