I used to take my Passat there for years and always had great experiences. Now I take my Mercedes there and still find the best prices and most professional service. They let me know exactly what the issue is and their prices are vastly better. They use real Mercedes products and give you all of the information you need up front. Expected to have my transmission replaced, which would have cost a small fortune and they found a simple sensor was at fault and for a fraction of the cost my car is running great.

This place is no longer owned by Jim and it shows. I called to get a quote to do pads and rotors for my car Audi A6 (vibration under braking going down hills) it could have been front or rear but they told me the price was they same either way ($450)and they would figure out which it was. After inspecting and driving the car they said it was the rear. They completed the job and returned my vehicle. I drove the car down a big hill the next day and the vibration was the same. I called the shop and notified them. They stated "the pads were at 10% and needed to be done anyways". Thats half

After the dealers warranty/maintenance expired I decided to bring it to Jim to have my front brakes replaced because he had the best price for OEM parts+ labor. After inspection Jim contacted me and told me that I didn't need to replace my brakes but rather the pad wear sensor that was faulty. He could've easily replaced the brakes and charge me for it, however he decided to provide excellent service and honest work. Needless to say, I will be bringing my BMW to Jim's German Auto for any service and maintenance from here on out and you should too. Thank you!

This place is as professional as a place can be!
I have a hybrid 5 series -it has a lot of miles... the dealership pretty much wanted the price of a new used car in repair costs! I called them because there aren't that many places nearby that can service BMWs -- boy am I glad i did!!
I won't be taking my car anywhere else - PEACE OF MIND!

Call Jim's to get a quote on my 2001 Boxster. I left 2 messages. Called a third time and someone FINALLY answered. Asked for a quote. He said he was short-handed and would give me a call back. Never heard from him.
One month later... I gave him the benefit of a doubt and called again. He said he was helping a customer and would call me right back. NEVER DID!
Apparently they don't want nor need my money.
Don't waste your time. Go elsewhere.
Part 2. Got a response back to my review with an apology and stating they DID call back and left a message with a quote. NO RECORD OF A MISSED

I took my Mercedes E Class sedan to this shop as I was tired of having to get an oil change at the dealer. However, I was concerned it would take all day and I'd have to leave my car which wasn't practical. I was on my way to Palm Desert for work on a Friday and scheduled an appointment for before 8am.
Terry took my information and before 9am I was on my way. The shop was clean and for the first time felt I wasn't going to get oil sitting in a mechanic's waiting room with a suit. I only wish they changed oil on Corvettes too!

Great customer service, explained what the problem was with my lock latch on my Mini Countryman 2012. The repair was done in one day, very glad Terry was able to locate the part needed. I would definitely recommend this auto repair shop and I will definitely return if I have any more problems with my car.
