I lived in the new apartments on Kestral blvd west when it first opened in cooperation with Purdue. Overall a positive experience with no major incidents, though the rooms were initially incomplete and quickly thrown together.

Close to Celery Bog which is why this review isnt a one. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and sneaky. They charged us over $100 for cleaning before are move in. However that did not clean and I spent the first few days wiping up mysterious goo and pulling black hair out of drains. The AC went out in the summer within a few days of me moving in. I submitted a maintenance request that took 5 days to fix. Every time I ask for the status because I had left my pet at home, the office staff yelled at me over the phone and said they didn't know and that they get to it when they got to it. We found larvae

This is the one that is on Kestral Blvd W. The apartments are spacious, the insulation is fabulous. You could turn off the heater at 72 and would only drop like 1 or 2 degrees in 8 hours even when it is below freezing outside. The kitchen furnishings are really awesome and looks and great. I never used the dishwasher, but I have heard works great. They have a decent washer and dryer too. The neighbourhood is excellent, with Celery bog nearby. The apartments are a bit expensive but quality is good. May not apply to all apartments on the other side of the road though, the original Blackbird Farms

I have lived at Blackbird Farms since August of 2016 and overall had a positive experience living here. My unit is very large and nice for the rent. I love how close I am to campus, the pool, the pond, etc. I love my apartment and overall living here day to day is great. I have called maintenance before after 10pm for heat/ electric problems and they helped until the problem was resolved. (Sometimes until 12pm-1am.)

I loved the location. Otherwise I was very disappointed at many levels regarding my experience with Blackbird Farms. The units are poorly constructed and poorly insulated, which will cost you a lot in heating and cooling. This would be OK if the the rent was not so high. Regarding that matter, Blackbird Farms increases rent annually and does so by quite a bit. After living there for 2 years, our rent increased by $120 a month. Some tenants experienced increases of $150 in one year! Yet after we (and other tenants) moved out, we saw that they advertised our apartments at the price we started with

I am writing this review on behalf of a fried who lives there who's first language is not English. Their business practices are completely unethical. BEWARE!!! They raise the rent each year by a lot. Our friend who lived there had the rent raised by $100 one year and a $150 the next year. That is correct, $250 over two years! They did the same thing to us when we lived there, causing us to move out. Go elsewhere. The only thing good about the place is the location. The quality of the apartments is a joke for what you pay. Also, they are poorly insulated. You will pay a lot to heat and cool the

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I was turned away today before even being allowed to see any of the floor plans. About 2 minutes after we walked into the office, she asked if we had any animals. I informed her that I have 2 FEDERALLY REGISTERED WORKING DOGS. She then proceeded to ask me what breeds they were. I told her that they are huskies. The women then stopped pulling up any apartment availability files and said "no, we don't take those. We have breed restrictions." I reminded her, "ma'am. They're registered working dogs. I have the Federal ID in my wallet. My legal rights are stated

I have lived here for 2 years and plan to stay to finish my schooling. It has been a great experience! Blackbird Farms is in a great location to Purdue. The city bus stops here and is an easy ride to campus.
The maintenance guy always has a smile and is helpful and prompt. (I extremely doubt the previous post is accurate. The maintenance guy would never leave anyone without a bathroom for 2 weeks. It sounds more like someone didn't get their way with something.)
The apartments are a bit dated and the winter does cause for a HIGH electric bill (I will agree to that).
The neighborhood is quiet

To the Owners of Blackbird Farms and anyone thinks of renting there:
I lived in Blackbird Farms for 26 months. I just moved and was shocked with my billing statement. I was charged for changing the carpet (around $742) which we left in a very good condition after 26 months. It was absolutely in a very good condition.
Here is the problem with Blackbird. The Manager there is very mean and does horrible job. We felt that since the very early months there. When my wife saw here to discuss the reason for the carpet charging, she was very mean and lied about the situation. And when my wife called the
