I was rudely kicked off my laptop by a hacker blaring the fact in my ears and flashing big warnings across the screen-- very scary. I waited impatiently for Seattle Laptop to open, and brought the infected laptop in for them to check and hopefully fix. In less than 5 mins. the proprietor had it cleared and working. He did not charge me a fee. This seems to be an honest business with skilled people working there. Highly recommended for computer repair.

Fantastic customer services and quick to help without ripping you off. Unlike at many other places I have gotten electronic repairs done, I never once felt like I was getting ripped off, and their staff were friendly and open to explain exactly what they were doing, and why repair prices were tiered at each level. They even offered to perform a few minor maintenance procedures while my laptop was opened up free of charge, while they had my latop open. Could not recommend their helpful service enough.

I thought my computer was 100% corrupted, it was giving me factory reset as the only option to open up again and I was in the middle of working on a project. I urgently googled computer help, saw this place with good reviews, and tried them out. I was in and out in 10 minutes with a double checked, FIXED computer. You can tell, they know what they're doing and really care about computers! Definitely recommend for any computer needs help!!

I came in asking about compressed air or an electronics fan while trying to clean out my desktop. I don't know what I'm doing but had noticed it was really dusty, and BestBuy didn't have the gear or advice.
The the staff were friendly and helpful and talked me through why I probably wanted to use a less abrasive cleaning technique. They offered to clean out the machine and because it was a quick job did not charge - would recommend for service and expertise and will come back when I need something else done.
I also had had some strange fan noises - they suggested I watch it for

My daughter and I just returned from a visit to Seattle Laptop and were both very pleased with our experience. Her laptop wasn't charging and she had a ton of homework to do over the weekend. Jaden greeted us very nicely as soon as we entered the shop, did a thorough diagnostic exam of all the possible problems and concluded that we had a faulty charging cord. He gave my daughter some pointers on charging and cord care and sent us home with another cord. No charge. I have been using Seattle Laptop for years, and have always had a good experience, so felt it was time to write a review.

I had about 4 desktops, 3 laptops and 2 printers that I needed to get rid of, in addition to some cables, keyboards, mice and other assorted detritus. I was able to get them recycled here with no fuss, no muss, and for a low $10 cost to have them dispose of the things they couldn't recycle. All of this during a pandemic. Highly recommend for any Computer gear you need/want to dispose of.

The guy was rude and when I asked if i could see 2 different laptops to compare them before I bought one he said they don't really do that. And that they're sort staffed. He was unable to show me 2 things in their stock at the same time!!! I'd rather spend my money somewhere where the customer service is better.

My laptop fan died on a Saturday evening. I was so distraught at the thought of not even being able to have it looked at until Monday. I found this shop on Google and gave him a call. He let me bring it in at 7:30pm. Not only that but it was finished by Monday afternoon, including having to order a part. It was amazing! He says that if you get your laptop wet from a spill he’ll take it as soon as it happens, any time of day, and help you save it from the scrap heap. 100% recommended.

Second time we went there, they told us our computer had several poorly functioning parts and sold us another one that had been turned in to them (for recycle?) and partly refurbished. Didn't work.
Took almost $500 and 21 days for us to get back a somewhat functioning computer. I don't think their personnel are Apple-certified. Their warranty is only good for a month.
I'd go to an Apple-certified place in the future. You won't save any money here.

All I have to say is Dan has always been so helpful when I've needed his help with my MacBook Pros. Ive been going to Seattle laptop repair for the last 3 to 4 years. He's helped me when my computer would start back up in the past. He got it running perfect after it was fixed. This last time, so freaking helpful. He recovered all my music and transferred it from my internal SSD to a New MacBook Pro I had to purchase on my own. Everything looks identical from the last time I was on my old computer to my new one. I highly recommend this repair shop. One of the best in Seattle, if not the

I was given excellent service by Dan: friendly, knowledgeable, extremely skilled, with a high level of problem solving ability. He's more than fair and reasonable. He gave me great advice on how to deal with a vendor for a defective new laptop battery.
Getting the most cost effective reasonable service out out of used laptops instead of just buying new is his strong suit.

Had a 13 y/o iMac that wouldn't turn on. Called Apple, said it was too old; took to Geek Squad, same reply but referred me to Seattle Laptop. OMG! Dan is the man! He was friendly, knowledgeable and great to meet. He took my sick iMac, and got it up and running within less than a week. All good, and I am one happy camper. Thanks Dan for great work, reasonable charge, and timeliness. Again, Dan is the Man! Oh yeah, and he had a very nice refurnished Apple Air so I bought it, and very happy ;-)

Dan (or Dave?) himself and whoever works with him might be good at repairs, but they need a better business model or business/service acumen in general. One look at the shop and you know there is NO organization. He accepts 'techno trash' as part of his business and it is EVERYWHERE. On every surface, counter space, the floor, any furniture and outside on the sidewalk. Phones, laptops and every technology peripheral in the world is in his store.
His service is so disorganized and he's tremendously backed up. So, unless you're willing to wait weeks you have the option of paying

Pretty low key place. I bring in a broken mac. they tell me what it costs to diagnose or fix, but also give directional guidance as to if it's worth fixing. decent array of refurb models too. fixed 3 macs and bought 1 already. I'm happy not to deal with the cookie cutter answers geek squad and some other places will give you.

I recently dropped off my computer and it took Dan two weeks to get to it and only then because I called on it a couple of times. He determined it was the battery, which he had replaced 9 months prior so installed another battery. In the process, he lost everything on my laptop and had to reinstall from my backup, however, he installed an old file - nothing newer than 2017. It's been every day for a week now on the phone or in the store with Apple. They determined the battery installed was bad so I purchased yet another battery and I still don't have all my files, downloads, addresses

WFH and my Apple computer decided it would not turn on. I called Seattle Laptop to see if they could work on Apple products and what the timeframe was. Answer was Yes and SL said to bring it in right away. Happily, I had the option of paying a little extra to expedite for a quick turnaround (which is fair to me). Within 24 hours, or possibly less, I had my Apple back up and running! I was given a thorough explanation of the issue. This satisfied me and left me feeling good about Seattle Laptop and feeling good at shopping local. So, with this experience, I can absolutely recommend Seattle

Was in the city for a few days from out out town and my MacBook was getting progressively chaotic and non functioning. Drove around to a handful of independents which were appointment only. Got back to air b&b and Dan at Seattle Laptop was the first person I called and was able to at least have a look at laptop to see if worth the fix.
The turnaround was only a couple of days. Thrilled to have found a sweet independent service that I can trust. I'm two hours away from Seattle, and I've already swung a handful of small town locals Seattle Laptop's direction. It's definitely

A key had come off my laptop, so I called to confirm that I could just walk in and have it fixed. I brought my laptop in that same day and he got right to work on my laptop. It was a quick fix, he explained to me that one of the corners of the key retainer was loose and a complete keyboard replacement would be needed for it to be fully fixed. Due to the ease and quickness of the job he didn't charge me, overall very quick and efficient service. I would definitely go back.

WFH using home computer. After it seemed to die and I couldn't easily determine a cause (not unusual), I called Seattle Laptop. Because we are in the midst of the coronavirus and needing to do physical distancing, he said, yes, come in, but only one person would be allowed in at a time. He plugged in my Mac, which came right up, checked my power cord, and because there was nothing wrong, sent me on my way without charging me. I am very impressed with all of the care he took and that he was willing to see me. I really would have been stuck without my computer working. Very good service, very

I went in to buy a used MacBook Pro due to me accidentally spilling water on my keyboard and seemingly killing the machine. Apple, and 2 other repair places, all said that the repair wasn't worth it, and that it'd be more cost-effective to buy another used one. I came in to Seattle Laptop to check out some of their used inventory---they seem to have quite a bit, at very fair prices. One of the employees, Dave, wanted to try powering up my machine before I bought another one. Miraculously, it turned on without a hitch, for the first time in 2 months. Big thanks to the folks at Seattle Laptop. I've been having issues with my fusion drive on my iMac, and exhausted the support from Apple.
As a developer, I have a good understanding of how computers work, but wanted advice from someone with more knowledge and experience, so I stopped by their store last Sunday. I wasn't disappointed. They were patient and engaged, we had a great technical discussion, explored the issues and my options, and they gave me some excellent advice.
They could have easily talked me into an expensive hard drive replacement on the spot, but gave me some things

Before buying a charger for my laptop, the guy with long hair demonstrated that it worked. When I bought it, the taller kid with the bowl cut swapped one of the cables before I left. I noticed the slight of hand, made a mental note, but didn't mention anything.
When I went home and plugged in the charger, it didn't work. I called and explained the situation and came the following Sunday to get a much cheaper looking, but operable cable so I could charge my laptop.
Number One: Don't steal. Stealing is wrong. Once someone has purchased something do not steal it and replace it with

A year or two after fixing an unrelated issue, I brought in my macbook that had lost its ability to charge the battery. I'd done all the basic diagnostics and sought help online https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7635944 and got suggestions to ask an Apple Genius Bar tech or seek out replacing the DC Input Board (a $10 part on ebay). When visiting an Apple store, they thought it could be either the battery itself or something on the motherboard.
Not sure whether to try swapping parts myself with this inconclusive news, I took it back to Seattle Laptop to see what they could find. They quickly
