Wish they were closer than Redmond, but they are really good at fixing Lenovo computers. I definitely trust them.

Recently called regarding some PUP on a personal machine and the price for malware removal. I talked to Aaron (or Erin or some variation) and he gave me phenomenal advice based on my description of my problem. He told me a probable fix that I could do myself. After following his advice, I can no longer recreate symptoms! Now Aaron definitely could have just recommended I bring it in for an easy $100 or so and 2 minutes of work, but he's better than that. They did a super job diagnosing and replacing my Lenovo Thinkpad yoga laptop screen. 24 hr turnaround over the holidays. Very professional, and a fair price. It's really great to know I can rely on them when my laptop needs work. I'm so dependent on it now, working from home, and can't afford to have it out of commission for any length of time.

They fixed up my Lenovo laptop with a new solid state drive when it was having terrible trouble out of the box from Best Buy. Lenovo's customer service recommended Sound Microsystems as an authorized service center. I am happy with the troubleshooting that they did, which led to a reboot and finally a new drive. I had issues resetting Windows on my machine and suspected a hardware failure. Took the machine into the shop and promptly (next business day) received a call explaining what the issue was (failed ssd) and the cost of the replacement + labor. I chose to replace the component myself, but I was happy about the prompt and correct diagnosis, and I feel that the $60 diagnostic fee was fair. I'd go back to these guys again with future issues.

They charge 60$ just to give you a price on most issues. The technician gave a minimum price it would take to replace the top cover of my Lenova laptop and said it could cost more. Dr PC Fix in Redmond gave me a free diagnostic/estimate which was less than half of what Sound microsystems' miminum. Also, they were much more professional, informed and prompt.

Screen went out on my laptop couple days before extended international travel. Aaron literally dropped what he was doing to help. Dig through their inventory first (so we wouldn’t have to order), found one!, and installed. All in less than two hours. This place is a disaster. I dropped it off because after a windows update, I couldn't get widows to load. They never called with an update. Finally I called, maybe three weeks later, as it isn't my main laptop for us. Oh, they said. They admitted they didn't know where it was and would have to call back. When they did, it ws 24 hours later to tell me that they needed to reload windows on it. I told them Windows 7. It's a Windows 7 machine. They were great on fixing my Lenovo laptop after it fell while charging, so the charger port got messed up (not sure about the other internal issues).

Estimated it to be ready by Tuesday/Wednesday and they called back on Wednesday saying it was ready (2-3 business days).

I have known Mike for almost 15 years, and he had always been and continues to be a very skilled troubleshooter and a really great guy. He makes sure he understands what your needs are before making suggestions or recommendations. He won't ever steer you wrong or do anything that will waste your time or your money. Visited this location with my Thinkpad T440s. I have found the service efficient and helpful. My entire problem with the laptop isn't fixed but they've offered to look at it again this week to see if they can figure out why the sound isn't working. Recommend, especially since they're the only authorized Lenovo dealer in the area.

Wow. What a great experiecne. I was traveling to Seattle from San Diego for a conference and my computer crashed while on the plane. I was stressed because I had to give a 1.5 hour lecture the next day and everything was on my computer. I found Sound Mircosystems on the web and reached out to Aaron Holder. Really bad experience, I sent my machine last Saturday, it's already Friday, they still don't know what the problem is. They promise to call me on Monday, but they didn't. Really disappointed. Don't go to this place!

I have a hp envy 17.6 laptop. I had a broken hinge, like the left side of the laptop was so loose. But ither than that everything was working perfectly. I went to this place to give my laptop for fixing up with the hinge. I gave it on 20th of December and confirmed the repair order on 22nd. But I was promised that I will get the repair fixed before Christmas, but I got it so late oly in the January 2nd week.. The hinge was replaced with a new one. Lenovo recommended to contact them for my ThinkPad W500 which suffers from the Windows 10 black screen bug.
Technician I talked with gave me the solution over the phone. He was able to tell me "eyes closed" that I wouldn't be able to replace the video card that Windows 10 has issues with. He was even familiar with the poor Windows decision to re-enable the video adapter on reboot even though I was disabling it in Device Manager. Instead, he told me to disable the card in the BIOS so that I could be on my merry way, so to speak.

It was good and fast, just little more expensive than I expected. I had a trouble with my wifi antenna and they changed it in half a day with Yelp coupon for fast service.

They were able to quickly address a Lenovo Warranty issue. Was very happy with their work and the fact that I could talk to a real person. It's good o have this company stand behind the Lenovo Warranties.

This guy replaced the main board on my blue-screening Lenovo laptop (under warrantee). When the problem wasn't resolved, he diagnosed it as being "a software issue" and charged me $200 to re-install my operating system. When THAT didn't work, he said it needed another main board! No fix, and no refund of my $200. Save your time and money. Ship your warrantee repairs BACK to Lenovo.

I had my thinkpad repaired by them twice. Once, they replaced the Mobo, next they replaced the bottom case cover.

They say 1 to 3 business days, but really it is 3 business days, as they always have to order the parts, which takes 2 days and then install on the third day.

When they were replacing the bottom cover on my machine, they somehow unset the wireless card, which ruined the wifi access and did not quite get the bottom cover on right (it was not flush on one side). I was rather annoyed, having to drive all the way out to Redmond to have it fixed. However, they quickly addressed the issue

I specifically drove my Tacoma laptops to Redmond because Aaron told me he would waive the diagnostic fee. The other authorized service provider in Renton wouldn't, even though I knew what was wrong w/ my equipment. In a tough economy and looking to lower any of my expenses, I appreciated Aaron's willingness to help me out.

The simple fix took a little longer than I expected -and still expensive -but the customer service was good. The location is a little difficult to find. It's on the left, in a strip mall, by an art shop, and past the Safeway. :D
