If your child is serious about learning ballet, this is not the place. All they care about is money. When you go there they make you pay for the sign up fee, first and last month, plus the costume fee. I ended up paying $200 before my daughter even started using the service. The kids don't learn much and the teacher doesn't seem very enthusiastic (Saturday class, Angelina Ballerina II). The kids do a few movements and the rest of the class is just running and jumping around. The place is small, laud and crowded. I ended it up taking my daughter out of there and they still charged me for another

Dawson Dance is a positive, fun, encouraging, and professionally-run dance school, and, most importantly, has inspired the love of dance in my girls. They have danced at DDA for four years and each year they love it more and more. In addition to dance technique, I appreciate the focus that DDA places upon the value of hard work, being a good teammate, and being the best that each individual can be. When my son was little, he danced so much at home that we enrolled him at Dawson Dance Academy in ONE hip hop class. He spent the next 2 years on their Street Team and transitioned to their Competition Team 2 years ago. He absolutely loves his teachers and all of the skills they show him in the many genres he takes. His confidence on stage seems to carry through to his school life and will be excellent for his future as an independent adult.

My two daughters have attended Dawson Dance for four years. The studio instills a love of dance in each of their students, encouraging and teaching the kids to become the best dancer they can be. In addition to improving their dance skills, my girls have learned how to be good teammates, how to support their fellow dancers, and how to be self-confident- all skills we love to see outside of dance as well. My girls excitedly run through the doors of DDA almost daily, which shows how much FUN is had at this studio!

My daughter has been dancing here since she was 2 years old. In the last 13 years she has had so many amazing experiences from dancing on the 50 yard line at the Bucs halftime show to dancing down Main Street at Disney during the Christmas Day Parade. She has been able to develop leadership skills, time management, and has made lasting friendships due to dance. Thanks to Dawson Dance for all the wonderful memories we have made over the years.

My daughter has danced at Dawson’s for 7 years and during that time I have seen her grow, both in dance and in character. She has made incredible friends, mentored younger children, and become an absolutely stunning dancer. She has truly enjoyed her years on the comp team and has gained a lot of confidence in her performances. The studio is always clean, the personnel are very nice and the location is perfect for us. I would encourage any parent who has a child interested in dance to check it out!

My daughter has danced at Dawson Dance Academy for six years. She loves it and can’t imagine dancing anywhere else. She has made strong connections with her teachers who have cheered her on throughout the years. She has grown into a wonderful dancer and excellent performer. Her confidence, self-esteem and work ethic have all soared since she has gotten involved with DDA. I appreciate how parents are encouraged to watch through the windows and come into the classroom at the end of the class time often to see dancers’ progress. My daughter has been at Dawson Dance Academy for 7 years and absolutely loves it there! She has had so many wonderful experiences including dancing down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom to attending some amazing musical theatre camps each summer! The studio runs like a well-oiled machine and the Director is extremely organized and professional. Dawson has truly become a major part of my daughter’s life in dancing and her circle of friends. I couldn’t imagine her anywhere else!
