We are a husband and wife team with over 40 years combined dancing and teaching experience. We know both the social enjoyment of dancing as well as competitive achievement. It's more than our business, it's our passion. We are passionate about dancing, about teaching, and about people. We find joy in sharing our passion and it is our desire to help you learn to dance no matter what your reason or goal.
Let loose and learn some new moves at The Real Ballroom Dance Studio! You could be a beginner or you could be an experienced dancer. Your goals could be social or competitive. No matter what style of dancing you are interested in: Ballroom, Latin, Swing, or Salsa we have options perfect for you! In this type of class, one instructor teaches a group of students.

Karena and Danilo are both incredible instructors and so patient! My fiancĂ© and I started with a Groupon that was a gift and ended up learning a whole âfirst danceâ for our wedding in 3 classes!
My fiancé also did classes with her dad and had a wonderful experience as well. 10/10 Highly recommend!!!

The dance instructor was professional and knew how to engage well. The class was fun and informative he even recorded our dances we learned to continue practicing at home. Great fun date idea or if you wanna learn to ballroom dance. Best place in town.

My fiancĂ©e and I took the 5-lesson block with Karena for our upcoming wedding in May â20. We ended up learning Bachata, Swing, and the Foxtrot and incorporating them all into what will be our âfirst danceâ.
Karena is an impeccable teacher that can train you for dance competitions or just help the Average Joe feel comfortable on the dance floor! There is no reason why a person like me with zero skill could learn all of that in a matter of a handful of Saturdays, so that is a testament to the knowledge and environment that The Real Ballroom provides!

I had my first lesson with Karena in September of 2010, and we danced pro-am in our first competition together a few weeks later. Watch Karena dance for 30 seconds, and youâll know sheâs a great dancer. Take a lesson with her, and youâll see sheâs also a great teacher, which is much harder. She has taught me many different styles and levels of dance over many years, when I was at very different places in my life. She understands, as great teachers do, that different people learn things in different ways. And I have yet to see someone that she couldnât teach.
