I've used them multiple times for windows on several properties, as well as security doors. Have also used their siding and gutters and downspouts.. always been very conscientious and cleaned up well after their work. In trying times right now during covid with supply chains being broken they are doing their best to update customers and get them their products as quick as possible so I appreciate that. A positive experience and I will continue to use them as one of my contractors of choice for my Homer modeling projects.

I had a front door and screen door replaced. The front door was not what I ordered and was told that is all they have, take it or leave it. The screen door was installed and within a few months the door longer closed properly.i opened a service request in June 2020. A few months later I was leaving my house and the screen door fell on top of me,… knocking me to the ground. I immediately called the company to report the issue. The sales rep came by called himself a Marketing director. I inquired for a full bath remodel instead he comes in saying "we provide top of the line materials and that they have a 3-month waiting which also has to do with ordering their supplies in Chicago and that I need to consider increase in price for materials and gas." The people working the phones for this company are absolutely unprofessional. Very pushy and VERY persistent. They've called me so many times I can't even count. Saw the reviews and called back to cancel my estimate appointment to avoid issues that I've seen form other comments on Yelp, and the "supervisor" was very rude and said I "shouldn't believe Yelp". Super shady. Don't recommend.

My experience with K-Designers has been on the decline since my first project. When I originally got windows in 2010, it overall went very well. The installers at that time communicated to me that it was difficult to remove the old metal frames but once they got that done it was business as usual from there. Those windows look great and work great. No issues stood out. A couple years later I ordered windows again but for my basement. That process did not go quite a smoothly. I would give 0 stars if I could. A guy showed up out of nowhere claiming we called them about installing new windows when we didn't. The guy took over an hour before leaving. Then we kept getting calls about the remodeling. I even told them we aren't doing any remodeling work and told them to stop calling us. 3 months down the line and we're still getting calls from them....

Based on the overall sales training/strategy that this company employs, this is the ONLY company I will not consider based on how the estimate process went. The old school used car sales routine was kind of hilarious.
Early on in the conversation, I shared that I like to do research, check reviews, etc. when I am looking at these projects. The defensiveness of online reviews were quick and now I can see why. As you get 'sold', see if any of this sounds familiar.

We had several projects done in our house and were initially happy with the service. One of the projects done was our siding. Very expensive project. Long story short skipping forward a few years and our siding is warped in a couple of spots and popped off. So we called and apparently we have to pay extra on top of the thousands of dollars spent to get it fixed. A telemarketer SCAM caller- Contacts my elderly mother, tells her they received on line info we were looking for new windows?
Then the women talks her into making an appointment for a 2 pm bid, telling her they can't come out in the AM!
"Only their convenience not ours? she tells my mother they have meetings in the mornings.
My mother calls me tells me the story!
I called the k designers back and talk to the woman, explained

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM !!! At 7:30 PM This is what we heard on our front door. It was Morgan Mitchell, the branch manager of finance for K designers. He didn't call, or text or even email us letting us know he was going to come over. He just showed up out of the blue, handed my husband paperwork, and said "you guys need to sign this paperwork and get them back to me by tomorrow or we are putting a lien on your home!"

I arranged for a free quote not once but TWICE and they called to reschedule both times. Now their policy is you and your spouse be present which is very difficult to do with our schedules. When they called to cancel the second time I told them I was no longer interested the representative was very rude and hung up on me.
