This place is great. I'm rebuilding an old Evinrude. Evinrude tells you to use a bunch of specialty tools. I asked if I could order the tools. She says you don't really need them. So, not only did they sell me all the specific Evinrude lube and hard to find parts, but the nice lady at the front desk brought her mechanic out of the shop to give me tips on how to actually do it. This is the kind of old school customer service I prefer. I will be going back to this place for all my outboard parts and lube needs.

I found them to be courteous and professional. There is a waitlist of about a month so dont expect speed, but I am looking forward to the quality of work they are famous for!

My outboard was hard to start and wouldn't idle $272.00 plus $140 used carb and still won't idle. Tech doesn't know what is wrong and just guessing. I found more info on line than from tech don't take your boat here unless you have money to throw away on nothing

I must say I have to give Brevard Marine Service in Merritt Island, FL a well-deserved 5 stars. I had a premature catastrophic engine failure on my boat and Brevard Marine was very accommodating, patient, and helpful in coming to a solution. Their flexibility and interest for the customer truly showed and is appreciated. I will definitely be going back for my boating needs.

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Always recommends best options for customer. Fair and never feel like I'm getting overcharged. They will recommend other options that are most cost effective for the customer. Not trying to push or sell you parts and service. Family owned and long history of great service. Trustworthy in my opinion.

I brought my 4hp evenrude outboard in for new fuel lines and a carb rebuild kit.
As I inquired about the price i was rudely told labor is expensive and that was a question she could not answer.
I should have left then and there but after explaining what I wanted done I was told she would have a look and call me of it was over 250.00.
Over 2 weeks later I was given a outrageous quote of over 400 dollars and then given a 55 dollar charge for doing absolutely nothing.
I was ripped off.
I was given an outrageous quote that they knew I would not take then charged 55 bucks. How many people

Horrible experience, purchased a new motor and guages for my 21' wellcraft. they didn't water test it nor adjust anything. They told me the couldn't get the helm loose and it needed replacement, agreed to it, they cut the old helm off and didn't protect the fresh awl grip paint job and now have rust spots through entire boat. Recently I read an article about propping and rpm, consulted a different shop and I have the incorrect prop on the boat potentially damaging the new motor, which would have been discovered during the water test they did not perform. I not only would not recommend them I would

Usually, I only give low marks for poor customer service. The people at Brevard Marine Service seem friendly and laid back. The problem is that they never could fix my boat -- after many repeated attempts. Granted, boat problems are often very difficult to troubleshoot and fix. Unfortunately, I (the non-expert) can throw parts at a problem and eventually fix it. Paying an "expert" to go through the same expensive trial and error approach doesn't earn anything more than 2 stars.
