The firm's senior partner, Robert J. Bob Sheppard helped us navigate a difficult situation with a landlord who had taken advantage of us multiple times. The outcome was in our favor and we avoided trial.

Jaime Uziel, is first and foremost, a confidence inspiring attorney, in all of the varied situations; as a landlord in San Francisco; that occurs with landlords and their tenants. The legal part of it is difficult enough, but where Jaime excel, is in the large grey area, of the "relationship" between those two opposing parties, the landlord, and the tenant. He's able to see; IMO; issues from both sides, and this helps me in the "long term" to resolve the immediate problems, and to establish a "working relationship" for future issues that arises.

Please stay far away from this law firm. Mr Sheppard represented me in a tenant landlord dispute and his practices of billing clients is unreal. In my opinion, he is completely obsessed with charging his clients as much as possible. Mr. Sheppard blew through more than $40k worth of fees on essentially mediating a case. This was all pre-discovery.
When I consulted with other attorneys about the amount of fees for the work done they were stunned.
As an example of his practices, Mr Sheppard billed me for over 21 email exchanges in a single day for getting a signed document from the other attorney

They are after your money, not your interest. I hired this law firm for a tenant dispute a few years ago. I initially met with Robert Sheppard but then my case was transferred to a newbie Mark Ellis. They kept asking me questions about the things that I detailed in my initial email. I kept referring them to the email. As a result, they charged me $4500 for one letter they sent to my landlord. When I mentioned this to Robert Sheppard, he started threatening me. I felt like I was dealing with a gangster. Shaddy business...

Great mediator- Bob . . 4/24/18 my lawyers refer bob handle my difficult case . I have a House property title problem . We use uncle's name to bought a house and after pay off , the uncle say the house is his but all the Mortgage is I pay . My case no proof ,no witnesses. Bob-mediator spend 7hours in this case . I got a 60 day eviction notice and hired Robert Sheppard based on a friend's recommendation. At the initial meeting, he gathered information and summarized my options very clearly, and then we agreed on the best course of action. He was very pro-active in sending status updates, mainly via email with some phone conversations. My issue was resolved promptly and I am very happy with the outcome. However, it was an honest review and just remembering it's memories are still very bitter and disturbing. I don't know how much you know about the "details" since you were not directly involved. I am bitterly unhappy with my experience with Sheppard et al. In my opinion, their business model seems focused on billable hours, not my case, and I got to enjoy a lecture from their office manager essentially telling me just that after I paid over $60,000 to try to settle my case.
