Our cafe started with my love for cooking for family and friends. I never imagined I'd ever cook professionally! I cooked the way my mother and grandmothers did; for joy and family. I created recipes through the years that I loved, and lucky for me, so did others! My friends convinced me to cook professionally, and so I started a small, at home catering business.
After a couple years my husband, Brent, called to tell me he'd "found me a kitchen" next door to Bankston's, our original family business. Thus, Butter My Biscuit as a cafe was born. Since that time, I have stretched my catering legs to larger events and learned to run a restaurant kitchen. Big steps for a 17 year stay at home mom!

Services
We started out as a small, at-home catering business for families and friends. We never intended to grow into a "real" restaurant. But, with the encouragement of those very same family and friends, we started a restaurant founded on Lee's core cooking beliefs. Back in the kitchen, these are jokingly called, "Lee's Laws" and they affect how we serve you every day.

So glad we gave this place a shot. Walked in and decor was definitely a little different (Harry Potter kind of theme). It appears they have a separate dinner menu and a gaming lounge in the back. Menu wasn't overwhelming in size so it was easy to make a decision. The food was AMAZING. best buttermilk biscuit I have had in a long time. Gravy was home made and not from a bag. Good food, good service, good atmosphere.

Okay picture this with me:
You're a college student or tourist in Waco who is over the Magnolia table craze.. and even more over the horrendous wait times! Enter Butter My Biscuit Cafe. The best place that the good Lord could create in our dear sweet southern state.
It's not your white subway tile kind of cafe. Think retro gaming cafe with lots of browns and earth tones... Tourists: I PROMISE IT'S WORTH YOUR TIME! Skip the magnolia wait for food that doesn't have flavor. Come here instead!! A unique, one of a kind small business experience you'd never get anywhere else!! You may not have all

Food is delicious. Be sure to try pimento cheese biscuit. I'm knocking off one star because disappointingly can't eat here unless I go by myself or with a friend because my husband has to have ketchup with his hashbrowns/eggs and they don't have any. (They were not out that particular day as we have gone a handful of times and to no avail, no ketchup. I actually searched ketchup in these reviews and this issue comes up multiple times....

I giggled at the name and decided this must be the place to escape the Magnolia crowd. Breakfast cafe by day, gaming place by night, this place is pretty quirky with games galore and indulgent breakfast options to boot! My bar ordered The Bae, which beat out the beefy biscuits on my plate! So many delicious options with extra flavor for those who relish pimento cheese! Service was cheerful and food came out promptly. Looking forward to a return visit next time I'm in Waco so I can try the pimento grilled cheese sandwich.

Breakfast huge but more importantly delicious! Being from out of state, I had to try the Cheesy Grits Bowl. The biscuit was the size of a bowl! Crispy on the outside and tender inside. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked. Took more than half of it home. Sister had a Biscuit Bowl and also took half hone. Hubby had the Big Boss and really enjoyed it.

We walked in and back out. We noticed immediately upon entering, an odd odor. There was torn up booths & inside was dark & dingy. We had a $10.00 gift card and wanted to use it, but just wasn't worth it. Sorry, I couldn't get photos because we walked in as fast as we walked out. I apologize for not having more to say, but it just smelled bad too. The people seemed very nice though.

One of the best breakfast places in Waco. Kind of hidden at the end of an old shopping center but the food is out of this world. Don't be turned off by all the gaming birds and the dark look of the place in the back room they have gaming tables. The wait staff were wonderful and took great care of us.

Visiting family from San Diego and driving to San Antonio, we decided to pit stop in Waco figuring we'd swing by Magnolia Table for brunch. After looking at the menu we weren't wowwed so decided to see what other options there were in town. Clicked on the first thing that came up when I searched for breakfast and was immediately intrigued when finding it doubled as a game store since we are huge board gamers. Menu looked great so we headed there.
The staff was seriously the best. We had our 11 month old with us and they were so nice and interactive with him.

Passing through and saw this place had bloody Mary's. It was good and overall, all 6 in my group enjoyed their food. There was no lettuce for my BLT, but that's OK because they let me know and agreed to add avacado instead. But then, it came out with no tomatoes. Again, ok, after having to ask for them, they were really good.

Location:was not easy to spot
Place: is a gaming store/restaurant,which is pretty neat
Food:i ordered the French toast under brunch with a side of potatoes
I was not a fan of it.
My potatoes came in a ketchup/sauce container!!!!!
Expecting a side plate full of yummy seasoned potatoes,i became upset after seeing the size of the container and more when i bit into it and had no flavor.
Coffee did not make it better, cold and blend.
Side note: no one at my table was thrilled.

Extremely overpriced for what it is. Basically a small coffee shop with hipster type sandwiches and decent breakfast food. Good coffee. Many much better places to eat brunch in Waco in the same or cheaper price range. I could see college kids liking it if the prices were about 1/2 what they actually are.

My wife and I recently visited BMB on our travel across the country. It was a highlight of our trip from San Diego to Virginia. We changed plans to eat breakfast here a second time. Below is a full review I wrote and sent to a few papers. No luck getting it picked up, but I hope you enjoy BMB as much as we did!

What do a sports card and comic bookstore, the Gaines family Silos, and Baylor University all have in common? If you guessed proximity to the best breakfast pastry that America hasn't tasted yet you'd be right.
My wife does all the Yelping when we travel across

My wife and went to Waco to see my son and daughter-in-law. They have raved about this place for a few months and wanted me go. So this morning we went.
First impressions made me roll my eyes. Then the magic happened.
We were seated in the back room. Whitney, our server was a happy bright spot and was both helpful and fun.
We ordered triple chocolate bonuts and they changed my life for the better. Wow. Interesting and very delicious. My wife ordered the peach cobbler biscuit French toast and wow. I had the biscuit bowl. Amazing.
The portions are huge and I made every effort to

This was my first time at Butter My Biscuit. It was as good as advertised! The biscuits are soft, fluffy and buttery. The bacon was crispy. The eggs were loaded with cheese and cooked perfectly and the gravy was the perfect topper! Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu! You will leave full!

Really good spot! We had a 40 min wait, but it was ok because we were waiting for my sister to arrive. Once seated we had a great experience from the staff, especially the manager Danny! He was very cordial and held conversation with us to make sure we were doing good and if we needed anything.
The food was REALLY good! Hubby and I had The Seperatist....and my sis had the The Grill Bowl. All of us really enjoyed our meal! The biscuits were big and fluffy, yet, lightly crusted on the top and sides! Then when we asked if they had jam...they said no, but had a nice assortment of flavored honey spreads
