Okinawan ShorinRyu Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art, also known as Matsubayashi-Ryu, that teaches the true and original art of ShorinRyu Karate by Grand Master Shoshin Nagamine. As students they will excel and learn about Self-defense, Health & Fitness, Gain Confidence, Discipline, Respect, Listening Sills, Coordination, Safety Awareness and how to properly handle a bully.

Jeff Leistner is a lifetime resident of Miami County and owner of the Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate Dojo located in Troy, OH.
We offer classes for children and adults ages 4 and up. Pre Junior Classes train once a week w/ make up classes. Junior Classes and Teenager/Adult Classes are offered three times a week. We encourage Junior and Teenager/Adult Students try to attend at least two classes a week. See class schedule below:.

Great place to learn karate. I started ten years ago with my son's, who were both receiving physical therapy through school. After about four months, the school released them saying the karate was doing more for them then the physical therapy at the school.
When we signed up my son's, I watched class and decided I was going to also train. I have loved my time at the dojo and feel like the people I meet are my second family. My father in law was also impressed and started training a few months after we started.
