Great experience during whole refinance, the people I worked with were patient and explained everything we had questions about from the loan officer Jasmin and Rosa to the Notary they sent out to our home. My rating a year ago would have been 4, maybe even 5 stars. Buying our home in 2015 was a pretty smooth process, no issues afterwards. When I was furloughed and later laid off in 2020 due to the pandemic, the forbearance option was a lifesaver, and that process was fairly smooth, too.
However, coming out of forbearance a year later and trying to get the loan modification completed has been a nightmare. We started the loan modification process in April 2021, and as of today, I still can't get anyone to tell me why we're still in limbo 9 MONTHS later with no sign of a resolution in sight

Exactly like the advertisements say, I paid no closing costs and they were not added back into my loan either like nearly every other lender in the market does. There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am that I called RP Funding. I closed on my home May 21, 2021. Jim McDonald, Jammie Johnson, the underwriting team, and even Robert(RP) himself, went above and beyond what other banks/mortgage companies could. Prior to learning of RP Funding I had been approved, pending appraisal, on 3 other homes with other lenders, over a 15 month period. I was looking to convert my FHA mortgage to conventional to eliminate the PMI insurance so out of curiosity I filled out an online request to RP Funding. Jeffrey contacted me the next morning and explained all of my options and then emailed those options to me for my review. They also explain how they are able to pay the closing costs on a refinance, which is no gimmick! I am now able to eliminate the PMI insurance and take advantage of a reduced interest rate. We just have to say that refinancing with RP Funding was the best choice we made for our financing needs! We did a lot of research before we decided and had heard a lot of positive comments and we have to say they were all right . The whole process was quick, painless, the loan officers were courteous and always got back to us quickly. The fact that we had “no closing costs” was a huge plus meaning we were able to get some cash to do some projects around the house. Most banks ask for tons of documents and it never seems to end. BEWARE! This company is awful! Refinanced with them and they never paid off the previous mortgage. Now after continuing to pay my old mortgage every month, they are sending me invoices to pay another mortgage on top of my old one!!! I sit on hold for very long periods of time and no one can resolve my issues instead they transfer me to different departments! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

Wouldn't provide me with a rate because I wouldn't share personal info. Not enough that I can provide credit score, mortgage loan amount and general location. They want to collect as much data as possible. Not necessary to provide guidance on rates. The rep I spoke to refused because I wouldn't provide specific personal information. Don't waste your time!

I requested for a quote to refinance my loan. I provided them with all necessary information including a 4 day old credit report so they don't have to pull my credit. I have already received 5 quotes from other lenders who were ok using the same credit report I provided as I was requesting only an estimate, not final numbers. Elizabeth Donnelly, the loan officer, stopped responding to me and then when I requested RP Funding to provide me a new loan officer, it fell on deaf ear. After reading numerous reviews on Google, Yelp and BBB I realized it was a blessing in disguise I did not do business

Very rude loan officer after giving him all of my information 20 mins of my time he wouldn't want to give me a ballpark idea of the interest rate he could offer me on a 15yr loan, i told him my credit report was pulled out yesterday and middle score was 774 but he insisted for my SS# than he hang up in my face! ' buyer from RP Funding- their sister company.. What a joke- the Buyer had a credit score of 510!!! We went all the way through the process and an appraisal was ordered- or at least I was told it was. Last minute the lender declined the loan without any explanation and never told the Buyer.. Hard to believe Robert Palmer would allow such nonsense!!

This has been the worst experience obtaining a loan. I was approved. I've submitted all the required papers.
This started at the end of July. It is now early December and they are still dragging their feet. Everytime I speak with someone I am told, it should be next week. I was told 45 days (mid September) the 29th of July

I was coerced to allow them to gather personal information to run a hard inquiry. I asked several times to give me an idea of what my rates would be. Yhey claim on their commercials that you can pick the years of mtg. I requested 12 years and wanted 20k dollars of my 100k in equity.
After a couple hours Natasha called me back with a 30 year 68k plan. The rate she quoted was higher than I pay now. I requested for a quote that I requested. After running my credit (780) and quoting what I asked for, she said they do not give 12 year mtg. She deceived me, and then quoted a 15 year, way higher

Not impressed. Terrible customer service. I switched to another company and closed quickly. Don't buy into their gimmicks. They either can't deliver on their promises or the ownership is completely disconnected with the gears in the company that actually make it function. Either way, in it's current setup it's a miserable experience that you must avoid at all cost in my opinion.

The rate was competitive, but I've had 2 significant issues with them that I can't overlook. First, they left my fiancé off the deed despite me telling them 3 separate times to include her name. Upon closing when I noticed her name was missing they told me it would cost me an extra $200+ and postpone the closing 3-4 more weeks.
Unacceptable.
Secondly and probably worse; the website will not allow any payments other than once a month. I wanted to pay every two weeks (shaving nearly 7 years off my mortgage!) not allowed!

Apparently the are CLOSED???? We have tried for days on end to contact someone by phone and email. Called four different numbers and all they do is played their recorded commercial over & over.

The company wouldn't even give an estimated refi percentage rate without taking your social security number and running your credit! Sounds like a scan job to me and a way to get your personal information for God knows what for.

I feel obligated to give 2 stars because the fact is that RP got me the best rate on my refinance, but if it was even close to another company, I would have gone with someone else. I absolutely hated giving my business and money to these people.
Called RP originally looking to refinance my mortgage once interest rates had gone down and values in my neighborhood had gone up. We thought we could eliminate mortgage insurance at this point. I had called RP for my original mortgage, but purchase mortgages are not their specialty and they didn't offer us the best deal. Broker was pleasant though

I WOULD NEVER BUY OR SELL ANYTHING AGAIN THROUGH THIS PROCESS involving Listed.com and RP Funding!! It's been a complete nightmare for me. I've had Zero representation through the process, I've personally dealt with 3-4 different title people, lenders,....apparently there is no Realtor involved, I've answered the same questions to multiple people, I've been rushed to close early and now no one is in a hurry get me my proceeds. This process has felt like a scam to me from the beginning.
