Hey Lendermans academy, my name is Jackson and i grew up in Spanaway, well I'm a Quadriplegic C4-C7 from SCI( spinal cord injury) i was wondering if you have taught train a handicap person before? Would you take me in and teach jiu-jitsu? We have some great gift ideas for someone special in your life that is interested in martial arts.
Karate is primarily a striking art that teaches practitioners to utilize punches, kicks, knees, elbows, and open hand strikes to disable opponents. Most styles of karate also extend into throws and joint locks, with the extent of this dependent upon the style. Weapons are utilized in most styles as well.
If you are looking to learn mixed martial arts and get in great shape our ATT program is great for beginners or advanced students. You will learn stand up techniques from boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai. You learn how to work in the clinch and use take downs to put your opponent on the ground and learn finishing techniques like arm bars and chokes.

My son been here around 6 months or so, and loves it. The instructors are knowledgeable and take a kind family like approach with the kids. They're not drill sergeants and we appreciate that. Mr Charles is my personal favorite, he's funny and extremely goofy. The kids absolutely love him.

I got my black belt last year in October, and the experience of being at the academy has gave me so much more knowledge then how to defend your self. Whenever I walk in the school I always feel very welcomed and comfortable. It overall has been a very big amazing experience in my life and I would recommend to anyone!

The classes are expensive for very low quality. the instructors there get rotated so often that its hard to build a lasting relationship with them because they always seem unhappy and leave. then a new instructor comes in. most real mma schools have several qualified black belts that train in their specific style. what i mean is there will be at least 2 muay thai instructors and at least 2 judo instructors, 2 wrestling coaches and so on. at the lenderman academy there's one guy (sifu) who is supposed to know everything and teach everything which is impossible. there is no way he is qualified to

This is one of the best owned Academy in the world. SiFu Lenderman is highly recommendable to kids and adults. I’ve known him for 38 years. Even my grandson trained with the academy.

Great foundation for kids to learn discipline and to learn some of basics in life. When the kids earn their belts, you know they have worked hard and were not just given the next rank.

My son has been attending Lenderman’s for just under a year now and earned his yellow belt this past week in the Little Ninja’s program! The program has been incredibly helpful to him in learning self control… and discipline, which are things he has struggled with due to ADHD. We have seen the impact not only in his classes here, but also at home and at school. Sifu and his instructors, especially Mr. Alex, have invested in helping him to apply martial arts principles, not only to his physical abilities, but also into life in general. They have helped to hold him accountable

My 2 daughters (ages 6 and 9) asked me to take them to an open house at Lenderman Academy because their friend invited them. We were welcomed with friendly, respectful staff and asked if my girls wanted to have free sessions with free uniforms to see if they liked it.
They were immediately enthusiastic after the first session! Ever since they joined, I have seen their confidence level improve, their focus on schoolwork increase and all around manners and respect for others improve.
If you have a kid that needs a little encouragement and discipline, Lenderman Academy is the PERFECT place to take

I've been attending for over a year and really enjoy it. Sifu Lenderman has a nice blend of techniques from several martial arts that he incorporates into our curriculum. He also teaches life skills which are critically important to both children and adults, particularly this day in age. All the instructors are kind and willing to help you.
My favorite part is the sparring we do on Tuesdays. It is a great way to bring up your cardio and work some techniques in a more realistic way. Everyone goes easy for safety, learning, and liability's sake and many times I'd like to push it more but it's probably

COMPLETE TRASH. NOT QUALIFIED TO TO TEACH JIU JITSU. THE HIGHEST LEVEL INSTRUCTOR IN JIU JITSU IS A BLUE BELT AND HE RECEIVED THAT BLUE BELT A VERY LONG TIME AGO. THE SO CALLED SIFU AT LENDERMAN ACADEMY IS NOT QUALIFIED TO TEACH QUALITY JIU JITSU. HE ALSO CANT TEACH WRESTLING BECAUSE HES NOT A ACCOMPLISHED WRESTLER. THE SIFU AT LENDERMAN CANT… TEACH ANYTHING EFFICIENTLY BECAUSE HR NEVER FINISHED ANYTHING. HE ONLY WENT TO BLUE BELT IN JIU JITSU AND LESS IN OTHER FORMS OF MARTIAL ARTS. STOP BEING TRICKED BY HIS SLICK WORDS. HE IS A CHARLATAN TAKING GOOD PEOPLES MONEY.

I truly believe that this is the place to go. I have been going there for a year or so and I have learned SO MUCH! Not only do you get to learn about different things in martial arts but also things to help you to be more successful in life. The staff is always ready to help you no mater what and everyone is very respectful. For me it is like one big family that get to learn together, work together, and help each other out. It is fun, challenging, safe, and a over all good place to be.

This place has made a huge impact on my children and as our family as a whole. I recommend it to anyone thinking about giving martial arts a try. My oldest son (of 2) that attends has made a 180 degree shift in his behavior. He has slowly and painfully grown into a respectful little boy that gives a Yes Mam or Yes Sir as an answer instead of the blah blah blah that we used to get. In addition to that, it is a family atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly, respectful, positive and helpful. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to train in Martial Arts and become more physically fit. I would

The instructors are excellent with the kids and the kids love them.
The instructors will help the kids with any questions they have and help in any way they can.
Unfortunately I can't say the same thing about the ownership. They have just insisted that the student sell popcorn as a fund raiser for the school, $65 minimum. If the students don't sell the minimum then things that were free in the past will now be charged for. I don't pay for my child to go there so they can then put her to work selling popcorn so the school can make capital improvement to the building.
