For your first visit with us, we will review all treatment you may need and make sure you understand all parts of your treatment. Download the New Patient Registration Forms - These forms are required for all new patients or for patients returning to our office after an extended absence (over two years).
Mint Dental - Family Dentistry of Emerson, NJ participates with the following insurance companies. If your insurance is not listed, please call us to find out if we've recently enrolled with your insurance. We will collect your insurance information and file all the paperwork to get you the most insurance benefits.
The Mint Dental Membership Plan is a Dental Discount Plan that allows individuals and families to receive quality dentistry at prices 30-40% off average dental treatment fees in the area. The plan allows additional valuable member benefits on periodontal treatment, fillings, crowns, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry as well as implant restorative care!
I just had an appointment at this practice, and had an excellent experience I thought was worth sharing. Dr. Shah is a very friendly, intelligent, young dentist that explains everything as he works. He also shows before and after digital photos of work performed. This was my first visit since leaving my previous dentist and I am quite impressed by level of professionalism provided by Dr. Shah.
Bone Loss Around Teeth: What you can do to prevent shifting of teeth over time and future cycle of problems. Because there's nothing in your jaw bone stimulating the bone cells, your bone shrinks away (called resorption/atrophy). This ultimately leads to teeth shifting. Your jaw bone needs teeth to keep the bone levels intact.

Being used to NYC dental offices where hygienists clean and dentists do a cursory 10-second check afterwards, Dr. Shah's performing the cleaning himself while thoroughly describing my individual tooth and gum conditions was a very refreshing experience. He explained my filling and bonding conditions well, and didn't try to upsell any unnecessary treatments. Very pleasant front desk and dental assistant staff.

Dr. Nilay Shah is a very skilled, young dentist who made me feel very comfortable in his care. Doctor-patient communication is very easy with him because he listens. Dr. Shah is also an honest person who will not do procedures that I don't need. I know it from my own experience. He explains everything he does along the way and even checks for mouth cancer during the routine checkup. Everyone in the office is a joy to deal with. I never waited longer than three minutes for my appointment. Parking space is available on both sides of the building!

I actually don't mind going to the dentist now. Everyone is professional, the office is clean and modern. And you get to watch Netflix on a tv mounted on the ceiling. I was in and out within 30 minutes for my cleaning, and that's including x-rays! Best part, I never get nagged for not flossing enough :)

After being recommend to Mint Dental recently, I went in for the first time for a cleaning and an initial examination. I had a very positive experience ---from walking in the front door, to taking x-rays, the staff was courteous, friendly and attentive. Dr. Shah took his time explaining what he saw on my x-rays and his approach to dentistry. I was very comfortable overall and would recommend Mint Dental for anyone looking for a new dental practice.
