I hope you find this website helpful in deciding if I could be the right psychotherapist for you or a loved one. I am a licensed psychologist with over 12 years experience helping adults, children, and adolescents experiencing relationship problems, anxiety and mood concerns, emotional and/or behavioral troubles, trauma and loss, and difficulties with burnout and the compassion fatigue of caring for loved ones with these issues.
While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can better understand them and their impacts in order to effectively face the challenges in your life. Working primarily from an interpersonal/relational perspective, I also integrate mindfulness and skills building into my approach to help you develop greater awareness of yourself, improve your coping skills, and develop your capacities for adapting to the difficulties in your life.

Services
I provide psychotherapy services for youth, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns, including depression, anxiety, loss and relationship issues, trauma, and burnout and stress.
Utilizing an interpersonal foundation, my work with adults and adolescents centers upon engaging in a dialogue regarding the challenges and difficulties individuals experience in their lives, supporting a process of greater understanding and flexibility toward adapting to the pain and suffering brought about by emotional, behavioral, and relational problems.

I periodically offer psychotherapy groups focused upon supporting individuals experiencing parental stress, burnout, and secondary traumas associated with parenting and caring for children and youth with long-term disabilities, developmental concerns, chronic illness, severe emotional and behavioral difficulties, and primary traumas.
Adults, adolescents, and children often present with complex concerns influenced by cognitive and other psychological factors. Often, children in particular can present with physical symptoms and maladies as an expression of psychological distress, which can be confusing for parents and providers alike.
My rates are competitive and in keeping with psychologists in the San Francisco Bay Area, and depend upon the service rendered. Psychotherapy fees are set per 50-minute session, and may slide based upon session frequency, income, and number of dependents. Please contact me for rates associated with your particular situations, as well as my fees for consultation, assessments, psycho-educational evaluations, and groups.
