We opened our doors over twenty years ago as an outreach ministry program of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Our desire was and still is to fill the need in our community by providing a quality education with a Christian background. Our continued success in educating preschool-aged children is the result of our devoted staff, enriched curriculum, Christian leadership, and supportive congregation.
The classrooms are designed with young children in mind. Students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and engage in learning opportunities within the classroom and beyond. Our curriculum provides systemic learning in language and early literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, dramatic play, and social and personal growth.

Services
10% Tuition Discount applies to members of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and families with more than one child enrolled. All tuition payments should be placed in the beige box found on the wall near the entrance of the Parish Hall. Tuition is due on the first school day of each month. It is considered late on the 15th of the month.
We are devoted to having quality staff in every classroom. Our teachers are Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid. There is at least one MAT certified staff member on site during school hours. The quality of the teachers is fundamental to the success of any school. Our experienced, devoted, and loving teachers is a main reason St. Stephen's has been so successful within the community for so long.
We incorporate two curriculums into our daily schedule: The Creative Curriculum and Learning without Tears. To find out more about each one, go to OUR CLASSROOMS page. Each child's immunization records must be up to date by the first day of school. Each child must have an updated health form signed by a licensed Virginia physician, as well as a medical release form on file.
My son's experience with St. Stephen's Preschool has been wonderful. Since he began attending St. Stephen's at the age of 2, he has always been excited for school and what he learns each day. He comes home with fun stories to tell of hands-on learning and play. He loves his teachers, too! He is now in the PK class.
Our Lucky Ladybugs class have a wonderful time learning the basics like colors and shapes. Our caring teachers, Candy Shelton and Rebecca Smith, also help our youngest learners explore their environment safely. It takes a big heart and quick feet to keep up with these little explorers. Their day consists of outdoor play, hands-on learning, and music with movement.
