Wish I had read the reviews before , they are 100% accurate what an unpleasant experience !! The woman working there is so rude. After she used her sales technique on me which were actually good I got in the store she took me to the sales rack i loved a beautiful dress and she said:" oh this is small " in such a condescending way. I gained weight and i know it but it was so unprofessional, uncomfortable ,rude and disrespectful !! She was lucky I bought a dress even saw her being rude with a regular client. Never again!!! Im surprised they are in business with such a horrible and tragic customer

The reviews are correct. The clothes are cute but incredibly overpriced for the cheap quality. And the woman that currently is running the store is awful. Overbearing and never stops talking. I was trying to see if they had a small wallet and it took so much longer because she kept interrupting me and was really rude.

This place is so cute. Actually shopped at its other location south of Washington sq park and realized they had a location near me on uws. It's a great place to pop in and check out their sales (which are always happening). I have several necklaces rings and even sweaters and wraps too. They hold up nicely and aren't too expensive. The staff is always really friendly too. Helpful but doesn't hover.

I am a buyer. I went into the store and saw a faux fur bomber for my daughter. It was $184 on sale for $158. I saw it in the window and told the sales girl I would take it. Before I could take a closer look at it she put it in a bag for me. When I got home I took a closer look at the jacket. It’s by OLIVACEOUS. This jacket wholesale cost $20 max. They ripped out the label, put their label over the brand label and mark it up 9x the wholesale price. I also looked online and found it selling for $32! I was disgusted and appalled and called the store immediately for a refund. I was even willing to

This is by far the worst store in NYC. I can’t believe they are still in business. I went into the store because they had a huge sale rack. Found a dress for $150 that was nice. Decided to get it because it was on 70 percent sale. However, I was charged the full price. I immediately - while in the store asked why the price is much higher. The sales person states that “not everything on the rack is on sale”... I wanted to return the dress as it was way too expensive for what it was. I was told as the item was already ringed up. I can only get store credit at this point... this store is a total

WARNING... CHEAPLY MADE CLOTHES!!!
A friend brought back a pair of jeans she bought for 82 dollars. She liked the jeans and she was very eager to wear them. peopleA couple of days later... She looked down and the flower patches started to come off.
These ppl put an IRON ON on a pair of 82 dollar jeans!! WHAT?!
So... She goes back and tries to return them and get her money back ( because who wants to exchange IRON ON JEANS for ANOTHER PAIR OF IRON ON JEANS!) And this "lady" tells her that she will not be able to get her money back for the IRON ON JEANS FOR $82.

A lovely little boutique with lots of charm. I came across this place while I walking on Amsterdam and took a peek in. While the clothes were reasonably priced, I found the jewelry to be a bit pricey but the quality is good.
I bought a beautiful and sparkly bracelet for my mom which she loved by the way. Hope they get more cute stuff and maybe reduce the price a bit.
Last point, the lady at the counter was friendly and not pushy, helpful and honest.

With the economy, shopping has become more budgeted and less frequent than ever. I stumbled into this fabulous, affordable botique and have been enjoying fashionable and fun fall clothing. Not to mention an amazing saleswoman who had great taste and helped me did just the right clothes for my style and physique.

I discovered this little boutique purely by accident. And it just so happened to be a great find. The day that i happened to find taro, they were having a sale, where everything in the stroe was $50.
I ended up buying a originally $125 dress, for $50. The overall style of the clothes in Taroo were pretty trendy. But you really have to look around, cause it can be a it or miss. If i went in there on a regular non-sale day i probably wouldnt have been as impressed, because the clothes were slightly overpriced for the quality, but that is to expected in new york city.

The window displays always make me go in there and then I'm usually disappointed. This place is small in size, the dressing rooms are SO cramped I could barely get out of my clothes never mind getting into the others.
That being said I have gotten a couple of gems from this store, really unique items that people always ask, "where did you get that?"
If you have one of these in your hood, stop in from time to time, you might find something awesome, or you might just get claustrophobia.
