The address on google isn't listed correctly which is misleading and the owner apparently goes by appointment. That's perfectly fine as I will take my business else where.

I travel to many vintage shops all around the world an family jewels has some great stuff no doubt but they really do charge quite a bit for average vintage quality but their staff are the main problem, they are just awkward and unintentionally rude.

This store has great vintage but a weird location on 23rd street. Its a real destination because other than pet shops and liquor stores it's on a weird stretch of 23rd street and a main thoroughfare.
This store is my little secret as is Pilgrim New York for their designer japanese designer vintage and Chanel vintage (higher end than here). This I get my kooky stuff, sometimes a find here and there and some great accessories. Also try Tokio 7.

One of my all time favorite vintage stores in the city.Walking down the stairs is like traveling through a time machine. It is full of amazing treasures, usually at decent prices. The only star knocked off is because the men's collection is sadly lacking.

I'm biased because they've been a client of mine - i'll say that up front, but i also know that the women that work here REALLY know their stuff when it comes to vintage. they're super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable to an extent that you don't see very often in retail these days. oh, and they're always impeccably dressed. bonus points!
