Services
What I love most about the important work we do at Sunrise Children's Foundation is that we make a real, tangible difference in the lives of the families we serve. I am inspired by our families because they want better for their children. Parents seek out our services because they know the impact we can make on their lives and the lives of their children.
Incorporated as Sunrise Children's Hospital Foundation by J Parker Kurlinski, MD; Ann Lynch; and Dee Ladd. Established motto: Helping children to fulfill their potential of safe, educated and healthy lives. The first Sunrise Children's Foundation program established - WIC (Women, Infant, Children) Clinics.
We know that 90% of a child's brain development happens before age 5. As a Bright Start Partner, you're part of a special community of donors who are committed to educating children and families during the most critical time in a child's life. All families deserve access to quality education and nutrition.
Sunrise Children's Foundation offers various, free home-based early childhood education programs that empower parents to be their child's first teacher. The parent is provided with a set of developmentally appropriate materials, curriculum and books designed to strengthen their children's cognitive skills, early literacy skills, social / emotional and physical development.
WIC saves lives and improves the health of nutritionally at-risk women, infants and children. Studies have shown that, since its inception in 1974, WIC is one of the nation's most successful and cost-effective nutrition intervention programs. Sunrise Children's Foundation has created a lactation support program to assist WIC clients in meeting their breastfeeding goals.

As a previous employee it was disappointing to leave because of management. I had issues with my supervisor and when asked for help thru HR i got the "talk to your supervisor work things out with her". Not the HR i expected. No raise with extra work as well. No support from HR or upper management. This the reason being why staff seperates from the company.

I loved this program in the beginning. As time went on though we changed teachers and site directors so much I swear it was every few months. The last director lost my sons paperwork for the older kids program and found it 2 months later causing our app to be pushed back behind others. Then I reapply for my unborn child and was told I make to much. Which still confuses me. I make .36 cents more than I did on the last updated income info and I will now have 2 kids on top of getting welfare and section 8. So basically I'll be quitting my job since I cant afford care. So thanks for keeping your community

Staff is awful. Diagnosed my son with the flu when he did not have it nor did they run any test. Another time they had my son waiting around with a high fever for hours. Horrible before and after the remodel.

The volunteer staff was just wonderful when attended an open house day for enrollment. Disappointed to find that my son has surpassed age for classroom. However, there is an alternative home program. I will keep you updated.

I am so thankful for this program. I don't know what I would do without it. It's helped me keep my job and gave my kids some stability while things were hectic in my life. I truly appreciate the people who take the time to create programs like this to help others. Thank you Sunrise Children's foundation for all that you've done for me and for others.
