This place was heaven when we were going through hell. Water pump went out on my car on the way home from the U.P. of Michigan to Toledo, OH and they were the only ones open. So extremely grateful for the safe and warm place to stay for the night. They were even nice enough to allow us to hang in the room for an extra hour while waiting for our tow truck to come the next day. Very pleasant and great customer service. Rooms are exactly what you get for a motel and it was perfect for what we needed. Would Definitely come back.

The bed is sooooo comfortable! I am a super picky person about pillows and these are wonderful! The room was super clean. I appreciated having an full size ironing board as my husband is in town for work , and I wanted to have him look his best. I like the decor well although they are in process of touching up the walls which didn't bother us. The locals we have spoken with say it is the only place in town to stay. Even with the 25$ a night pet fee it is reasonable. 85$. Another plus is the gas station close by (BP). I was able to get coffee there and bring it to our room where we

What a pleasant surprise. We had planned to stay at the Saganing casino hotel, but at the last minute we needed to let a third person stay in the room. Not a big deal, right? Wrong: we were told that we'd be kicked out if we tried to let a third person stay! Check my review if you want to know more about the laughably bad experience there.
Standish Hotel to the rescue! They were not far from the casino, and they were cheaper. Plus, no draconian occupancy rules.

Owners in the process of renovations. New carpet in all rooms. New paint, draperies, comforters, and shower curtains. New bathroom fixtures with 50s colored tiles (kind of quaint). They could (should) lose the silk flowers in the wall sconces, and maybe add a floor lamp in the sitting area. This IS a budget motel. But it's clean, quiet, and comfortable. New double pane Windows help with noise and temperature control.

Well if your motel requirements include a bed, bathroom, frig and the NFL network, then this is a great place. A modest motel with the right stuff. Although one weird thing happen during my stay. Around 8am my boyfriend ran an errand and I stayed sleeping. I woke up to the door opening and a stranger shouting "Oh F#&!" and then slams the door. I screamed. When my boyfriend got back he found the situation to be rather amusing.
