Services
Meaningful Beginnings began in the downstairs of Ashley's home. A few years later, she outgrew her space and moved her mom-and-pop daycare to a commercial space in the Sunset district of San Fransisco. Today, Meaningful Beginnings continues to grow throughout San Fransisco and the Bay Area with the goal of expanding nationwide.
For Leesa Amodo, what began as a career in the medical industry soon transformed into a distinct passion for working with children. Now thirteen years later, she serves as Director for Meaningful Beginnings, working tirelessly to maintain the highest standards of care while also fostering a kind and friendly atmosphere that celebrates diversity and innovation.
We follow a multimodal program that incorporates Play-Based, Thematic Curriculum, and Reggio Emilia philosophies. Our curriculum consists of daily circle time, storytime, music time, arts and crafts, language lessons, sensory and outdoor play. Little adventurers-Introduction to new tastes, dramatic play, dance/music time, arts/crafts, and extensive language development.
Our daycare curriculum goal is to recognize and build up each child's developmental level as they use play to investigate and acquire the skills and knowledge, they need to be competent and capable in the world. They will slowly get introduced to letters, numbers, colors, and shapes in their everyday surroundings.
A flexible infant curriculum is essential for getting your child to learn how to socialize and interact with their teachers and their peers. Infants are encouraged to be curious and explore the many toys within the infant classroom. This will encourage them to build interests and create social play at their own pace.

I absolutely LOVE Meaningful Beginnings! The teachers are always so nice and friendly. I get constant pictures and updates for my son throughout the day. They even prepare food for the kids so I don't have to prepare it beforehand! I definitely recommend anyone looking for daycare to check out Meaningful Beginnings!

We LOVE MB. Our son went here for a year, from 6 months old to 18 months and the only reason we're leaving is because we're moving out of SF. The teachers here are so caring, my son is excited to come in every day. They also helped with some big transitions, like weaning off bottles, moving to solid food, dropping naps etc. Every step was met with flexibility and a strong understanding of developmental milestones. We are sad to leave and would 100% recommend this center to anyone looking for great infant care (and beyond).

We love Meaningful Beginnings. Our son was there for a year, from when we moved to San Francisco to when he aged out of their current program. (Though I hear they are expanding to preschool soon, which is exciting!) He loved it there and developed a great deal. He got a lot of individualized attention, and his teachers clearly cared deeply about him. Every weekend and many evenings he would tell us about his teachers and how excited he was to see them again. The app they use to keep parents updated on what's happening throughout the day is really nice, and the pictures they take are great. They

We started our daughter with Meaningful when was she was 13 months. It was an incredible experience! They are super responsive, and they are really good at updating you with pictures throughout the day. This helped put our minds at ease. If we ever ran into problems, we were able to easily resolve by discussing with the director. We are very thankful that we found Meaningful, and recommend to any SF families!
