The Pioneer Inn, in North Central Idaho is on the site of one of the original buildings in the historic gold-rush town of Pierce. Originally built in 1865, the Pioneer Hotel provided the miners with hot meals, warm beds, along with "other" services. The original building was demolished in the early 1900's and the current structure was built, which was also called the Pioneer Hotel.
Since inception, the building has changed ownership and names many times. The most popular and memorable for those raised in Pierce is the Key Bar. Most recently, the building was named the Cedar Inn. In January of 2013, the ownership changed again, and was purchased by Shyam & Parveen Bhardwaj. They reestablished the historic significance of the hotel, and renamed it the Pioneer Inn.
