My wife comes here often because she's comfortable with the staff and their nice work. Now she's bought me (her husband) along for pedicures this past year. Kathy and Mia(?) are very nice, well trained and their COVID procedures are good - very thorough cleaning after each customer, plexiglass shields and respect for distancing. Plus their foot massages are great!

Hollywood Nails is breast for getting your nails looking good. I used to do my nails myself. I never had anyone say anything about them. Then my husband told me I was wasting a lot of time by doing my own nails and dealing with all types of problems. It was as a lot of work.
He said he would pay for a session and insisted I go to Hollywood Nails. A few of his work associates go here.
After I started getting my nails done here I have received so many compliments. Now I come ever 3-4 weeks. They do a great job.

I have been coming to Hollywood Nails for 4 years. Last week I received a gel manicure, and within days all my polish was off. The Nail Tech rushed and got the clear Gel all over my cuticles, which was not only sloppy, but when you try to clean off the clear, it peals away the polish. When I called, they said this was very unlikely! Why would I lie, I have no polish on my nails! I will not be back.
Also, several weeks ago while I was having a pedicure here, i overheard another customer who walked in saying the same thing happened to her.

I hate when this happens, but I'm going to remove a star. After my first few times going here and a very favorable first impression, I was disappointed a few times with their time management. For example, I booked an appointment for a pedicure and fill. Like many places, they started my pedi first (a lot more nail techs can do pedi than can do acrylics). During my pedi I watched the owner, who was the only person doing acrylics that day, take a walk-in. I almost don't want to review this place because I don't want it getting any busier ....but they deserve the recognition! I won't go anywhere else. It's really hard to find $20 pedicures in the Bay Area....especially with a hot stone massage and women who put so much care and detail into their work. I always leave with a whole new set of feet! Lol

Incredibly disappointed that I was unable to be assisted for an appointment that I had made days in advance. I had specifically booked with Kathy and had her confirmation via text. Being incredibly busy working two jobs while being a student, it isn't easy to take time off to get my nails done. I was really looking forward to getting my nails done only to be told that they had me down for the incorrect day in their book. (Even though both of our texts explicitly said Thursday instead of Friday)
Of course, my schedule is not a flexible as many others, so I was unable to accommodate their error

Look it's not that fancy saloon .. but who cares as long as they get the job done

Got long acrylic coffin shaped nails and they come out fabulous! Mai assisted me and she took her time to be precise and to deliver great nails. They don’t have the widest selection of nail colors but they have enough to have options to choose from. The salon is clean and provides a calm environment to relax while being pampered. Definitely recommend. By far my favorite nail salon that I’ve gone to in San Jose.

Kathy is so elegant, which shows in her business and business practices. I've been going here for 8 years. I'm happy every time. Her brushes are always clean, she uses newest technology, and is even licensed with cosmetology if you want moles removed, facials, or micro blading. Thank you so much Kathy.

This quant small nail salon is perfect for a friendly nail spot. The ladies are very kind and understand, as I showed up to my appointment late. Kathy did my nails, they where acrylic and she explained exactly what she was going to do. In addition she told me that if I wanted a certain shape I would cost extra, rather than do it and a surprise charge later. This place is hit or miss. I stopped coming here for a long while after waiting 45 minutes for them to get to my pedicure. Keep in mind that I had made an appointment. They sat me in a chair with my feet soaking in water which eventually got cold. Several employees walked past me over and over without acknowledging me or letting me know that they would be right with me.
I boycotted for maybe 6 months or so after the incident but decided to give them another chance. This time was much better. I made an appointment and they took me right away. But only because the place was dead, lol.

Hollywood Nails is located on Bascom Avenue. It's a small shop that caters to it's regulars and welcomes new customers. There were 3 people working this Saturday afternoon and they all paid attention to detail with each patron walking through their door.

Went with my friend to get basic manicure. Staff was friendly and patient with us. Music/atmosphere was nice. Open after 7 on a weeknight! Able to find a parking spot and walk-in appointment with no trouble. Would have been 4 stars if I had gotten a hand massage, like my friend did, for my $12. Price is reasonable, but i could lotion up my hands and put on nail polish for a similar effect...

I used to like going to this salon, but not anymore! The owner is nice, so are some other girls who work there for a long time, but they need to watch out for new people they hire! They don't do a good job at all (and it is not for the 1st time) . Yesterday, I came to the salon (my favorite nail salon was already closed), so I had no other choice but to go to this one since it is close to my home. The girl who did my pedicure was very nice and did a good job (sorry, don't know her name), but the other one (Ann) who did my manicure was horrible! She doesn't know how to paint nails

Worst service, made an appointment for two at 1:45. They started working on my friend at 2 and worked on me 25 minutes later, when I specifically made an appointment for the same time. Mai took 2.5 hours to put on white tips, which at the end looked horrible. You could still see the fake nail under the white powder. She charged me $50 and was shocked when I said no tip. Why would I tip if I had bumps from the gel being clumped. Worst nail job ever. Would not recommend it. For my friend she got acrylic, and her nail also had bumps from the clunped polish. Horrible service

Love getting my nails done here. I get acrylic and gel on my fingers and it lasts 3 weeks! And my feet are always happy after my pedicures. Even the wallet isn't annoyed with me. The ladies are all wonderful.
PS The inside 360 picture is very old, about 3 remodels ago. The new look is cleaner and less cluttered.

I LOVE this nail salon. I've been to many around South and East Bay and nothing compares to the service offered at Hollywood Nails. I needed a nail repair to my big toe, which also hurt. They were very quick and gentle. I had shellac done to both toes and nails and even had a complimentary parrafin treatment! In and out in less than 2 hrs for a complicated fix. I will definitely come back here again.
