The appetizers were so scrumptious and the dessert so impressive that we would certainly return to Cinar in Cliffside Park. If the taste of this thick yogurt blended with roasted beets and flecked with walnuts and just a bit of garlic doesn't make you an instant fan, the color will: it's a drop-dead gorgeous magenta.

Great food and great service. We decided to try this place for the first time and we were very impressed with the quality and taste of all the dishes. For appetizer we ordered Cinar Salad, Baba Ganush and Fried Calf Livers. Delicious. all of the items were prepared and made perfectly. The Baba Ganush was literally made like home made dish, with some smokiness to the taste and absolutely amazing. Calf livers were tasty, very tender and absolutely not dry at all. Perfectly prepared. This is a covid compliant gem. Great Turkish food. Efficient and caring staff. Cinar follows all the current guidance on in-restaurant dining: tables appropriately spaced, masks, disinfecting after each set of guests.
The food is excellent. We hadbthe lamb shanks, a lamb and eggplant dish amd a nice array of appetizers. Every single item was authentic and excellently prepared. The added benefit is the reasonable prices and being allowed to bring your own wine.

Our favorite place to eat at least once in 2 weeks but mostly every week. My husband and I can’t get tired of their grilled whole fish Branzini and fried liver. All the others are good, too, specially the appetizers... babaganoush, hummus etc. it’s BYOB! They have 2 nice lady who rendered good services and attention.

I was looking for something vegan I could eat for lunch and came across this place. I ordered over the phone the falafel lunch special and it came with soup or salad and I ordered the lentil soup. When I arrived I parked in their private parking lot. The place was really nice. The nice man that took my order took my payment and it was a little over $13 which was a bargain. When I got home I dug in and the falafel, rice and hummus were so good. The lentil soup was ok, just needed a little more seasoning. It tasted better with the pita bread they gave. Cozy place with a great combination of authentic and modern look. They have a huge selection of Turkish cuisine to pick from including you can rarely find around. Our server, I forgot to ask her name, was very friendly and made excellent recommendations. I believe you will find more than you expect.

Update; A year later and this place still amazes. They added new items to the menu, keeping it fresh and speaking of fresh, they made my betters half, vegetarian in a split.
The place and the service was amazing!
We decided to have all appetizers instead of a meal and share.
Started with Cinar salad. PERFECTION!
Followed by;
Stuffed grape leaves (I am one that is not a fan. These where tasty and not bitter)
