Dr. Crear has a passion for treating patients of all ages, from babies to the elderly. A native New Orleanian, she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU Dental School in 1991. Upon graduating from Dental School, Dr. Crear opened her own private practice in uptown New Orleans on Louisiana Ave.
She later established a group practice in 1992, appreciating the diversity of skills that many different dentists brought to the practice. With the success of her first practice, Dr. Crear opened a second location in 2003 called St. Bernard Dental Group which too, thrived until Hurricane Katrina.

DO NOT COME HERE! If I could leave less than a star I would. My experience was absolutely awful. The entire staff is unprofessional. They are not friendly. Everyone looks miserable. DR. TRACY CREAR was a mess. She was constantly running around. Firstly, the wait is always over an hour. When she finally came in she was rushing the entire process. She was extremely rough/aggressive and impatient. She did not explain anything that was happening. She does not care if her patients are uncomfortable or in pain. She is definitely in the wrong profession. Her people skills are trash. She is one big lawsuit

If I could leave negative stars I would. My husband waited 2 hours to be seen and they charged him an outrageous amount. They charged him $600 for a cleaning. $250 per quarter of his mouth and this is with insurance. What dentist in the world charges per section of your mouth just for a simple cleaning. I personally called them and asked how much for a new patient with insurance would be and their numbers were totally different than what they charged my husband about half the price. This place needs to be shut down they are scamming people out of their money please stay far away from them.

I went to this dentist while living in Lacombe and also since I've moved to Metairie. I've never quite understood why my appointments lasted 3-5 hours, with an injection every hour until I was considered sufficiently numb. This was also a problem at the Lacombe office. From reading other reviews, I now realize this was due to overbooking. I've moved on to Dr. DiLeo in Metairie and I am so grateful to have found him.

My family has been patients of Dr. Crear for 3 generations. Sadly, the level of service has never been great. We have supported this practice over the years in an attempt to support black owned businesses. I am no longer willing to return and teach my kids that it is ok to allow disrespect as it relates to our TIME, solely because it is a black owned business. I have give NUMEROUS passes over the years but today, I am fed up. Today, we were scheduled for noon but the office is closed for lunch from noon to one. Due to COVID restrictions, we were instructed to wait in our car for an hour. We were

I have to say that my experiences, especially today, at Smiling Faces have been so positive. The entire staff is so friendly and professional, and they are very technologically advanced. Today I was in dire need of a procedure but didn't have the funds to cover it. Erin graciously decided to go ahead and perform this procedure, which took a significant amount ot time, for FREE. Completely unexpected on my part, of course. She was so friendly and thorough.
I cannot thank Erin and Smiling Faces enough. I will continue to have all of my dental needs/procedures met by this terrific office

To begin with, my experience isn't the same as another's; it is my own.
After having been treated in a most disrespectful manner by John C. Tripp III of 7 O'Clock Dental, I have had quite a go round with United Health in trying to make sure that they knew that Tripp's office only did x-rays.
On 22nd October, I decided to find someone to do the dental work that I needed; I had one broken molar since 2006 and the other since Halloween 2017. I began searching through the lists of dentists and remembered that I'd seen Tracy Manuel Crear before. When I called and spoke with

I made an appointment for my husband for a basic cleaning. He left ONLY with an x-ray completed and was told he needed to pay $1200 for a deep cleaning. That $1200 cleaning could be broken down by quadrant...I am not sure WHO gets their teeth cleaned one quadrant at a time, but, this was their recommendation if he did not want to pay the $1200 up front. We have a basic insurance plan (2 cleanings a year, one x-ray, simple extracts / fillings) and according to them, they accept our insurance BUT the basic cleaning was not covered...unless he coughed up another $150. The doctor, Dr. Crear, seemed

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE STAFF! Had to give at least one star to write this review but they actually get ZERO! They are EXTREMELY unprofessional. Be prepared to be treated with irritation and impatience. And remember that you are expected to be nothing but patient during your FOUR hour wait! Heard staff laughing and complaining about a patient's condition and that was the last straw. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CERTIFIED IDIOTS, PLEASE! THERE ARE MUCH BETTER AND CARING DENTISTS but this is NOT one of them! Don't know, names of ignorant staff members , so just stay clear of anything thats connected to the names

It was my first time here and they told me to arrive 15 min early to fill out paperwork for my 9 am appt. I got there at 8:45 am and they didn't have me fill out the papers until 10:00 am. There was 10 other people with appts at 9 also so they overbooked the morning. They lost my file and called me to the desk, very unorganized. I sat in the chair in the back for 1 hour after waiting in the waiting room 2 hours. They only had the dental assistants look at my teeth, not once did the actual doctor so I don't believe them when they say I have no cavities. The asst rushed through my teeth
