A funeral is an important part of grieving, and often the first step in the healing process. For thousands of years, funerals have been the preferred means of expressing grief and paying tribute to loved ones. When dealing with loss and grief, there is no single solution that meets the needs of every individual.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

It is never a pleasant time. And they don’t have all the bells and whistles like a family limo. But this place is considerate of what you want to spend. If you want extra, they will accommodate. He is not trying to sell you the most expensive burial. My mother looked very natural not heavy makeup. Peacefully sleeping. Great job, lots of compasión.

This place was absolutely awful...... inconsiderate, no compassion, maybe if we had more money they would have been nicer to us. Only reason i gave them a 1 star rating is to be able to post this review. They took off with our loved one to cemetery and we had to chase them down. Did a horrible job on our loved ones face. Looked nothing like him. I wouldn't even want them to help bury my dog. Feel So dissapointed and disrespected. Don't use these people it will only add to the pain you are already going through losing a loved one.

These people are rude and inconsiderate. They do not do recessions and they drive like morons. When they left the funeral home they didn't say anything. Luckily saw them pass by. Saw them driving the hurst as if it's a race car into the cemetery. I don't even give them one star. Do not use them!

It is never a joyous occasion when one has to use the services of a funeral home as it indicates the loss of a loved one. However, the process can be made easier when owners, directors, and staff display compassion as they perform their professional duties. Dobie Funeral Home does just that and more. Our concerns and wishes were listened to and we were even consulted on a several details that we had not thought about in our planning process. Very dignified memorial service and military burial that honored my father's memory in a wonderful manner.
