Even as our company continues to grow, our belief in the value of an honest, one-on-one relationship remains the same. We are owned and operated by ourselves, two licensed funeral directors, Gregory J. and Dolores H. Workman. Our husband and wife team have many years of experience and bought the funeral home in 2004.

Services
Greg is originally from Uniontown, PA, but has called Lancaster and the surrounding areas home since 1990. He is a graduate of Penn State and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Greg moved to Lancaster after completing his internship in Western PA. Greg is active with local organizations and community service.

Workman Funeral Homes handled the services for both of my parents. The owners are truly caring and compassionate people and made a very difficult time easier. They patiently explained and handled every detail, including arranging for a military burial for my father. They were respectful of my parents and of me and never hurried me in making choices, visiting with my parents, or at the graveside.
Mary was born in Billmeyer, daughter of the late Antonio and Orsolina Mattera. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School Class of 1941. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late J. Ray Kauffman, Sr. and Ginger L. Echternach Ditzel. He worked for Groff's in Willow Street for many years. As an active member of Columbia Christian fellowship he served as the main greeter and a mentor to Manos House clients.
Our Workman Funeral Homes, Inc. directors are always willing to meet with you and your family at one of our two locations or in the comfort of your own home to discuss all pre-planning needs. If you choose to pre-pay in full, these funds are placed in an account that cannot be used until the time of death and our costs are guarenteed.

I just wanna say that if you use any anybody else in Lancaster county, you are making a big mistake. The Workman husband and wife duo are the best around. They have buried many of my relatives over the years. But when me and my wife buried our infant child just a few short weeks ago it's when their professionalism shined through. I can tell you through my personal experience at the Workman's Funeral Home that they treat your loved ones just like their own. That level of respect is undeniable. Greg and Dolly are wonderful. They are an extremely friendly and caring couple. I can't say enough about the compassion are care I felt dealing with the loss of my mother. They really make you feel comfortable and never rushed us. Constantly making sure everything was ok. They really made everything much easier. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing so much care and compassion caring for my mother.
