We selected Gateway Living Residential Care in Springfield for my dear father near the end of his life. I actually visited a number of facilities before we made the decision. Then I went down to Lane County where they have the complaint reports on these types of facilities. Boy was that eye opening. At one very nice facility someone was stealing pain medication from elderly people. At another, staff was roughly handling (shoving) elderly people. I didn't really want my father abused. After reading all the reports on many facilities, we selected Gateway. I was so pleased with their

We had a horrible experience trying to place my 93 year old Grandmother in this facility. We filled all the paperwork and toured the room, thought everything was moving along and a week later they had done absolutely nothing. The contact lady (Knox) was always out, in a meeting or sick I would get an occasional email question but when I would respond no confirmation, the sooner they are out of business the better.

Smells of urine as you enter the facility. The heat must have been turned up to 90. The outside smoking area was not protected from the elements. So if you wanted to smoke and it was raining well I guess you had to have an umbrella. Are so small a bed hardly the rooms. All in all because I have a friend that lives there. I gave it to you

This place employs a man who tells women to go kill themselves on the internet. His name is Chris Spurgeon. I have the screenshot, which I have sent in a message. It is very disturbing. Fire him!

My grandma lives here...seems like they should drug test their employees more often. Especially the med passers. And her things often seems to come up missing.
