A typical old peking dish prepared with shredded pork sauteed with egg, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, cabbage in spicy hoisin sauce & served w.

Yum yum! Mom and I are new to the area and Chinese is one of our favorite things to eat out. We both had hot ‘n sour soup she had hit ‘n spicy shrimp and I had sesame chicken. There was enough for 2 meals for each of us. The lady behind the counter was very nice both in person and over the phone.

Apparently many of you have never had gourmet Chinese food. This was definitely a little better than the worst Chinese food I've had but not anywhere near 4.5 stars it's currently rated. Eggrolls terrible and contents look plain nasty and taste worse. Hot and sour soup edible but have had much better. Chicken w/ garlic sauce ordinary and nothing special. Mooshoo Shrimp and Shrimp Fried rice once again feeling ripped off. We definitely made me feel ripped off. $65 later we ate very little very disappointed and won't coming back. I recommend you don't either. Two stars and never again.

It's a lady and her husband. The lady answers the phone, takes your order, consistently tells you a time, and you know they don't start cooking the order until you get there, if you are. lucky.
Today i finally had enough. Ordered at 6, she tells me 20 minutes. I get there at 630, along with 10 other folks also waiting for their food. Finally at 10 til seven I ask if she has started making my order. Her answer was no and I told her to cancel.
Drove to independence and got some

I'm gonna tell you the woman who owns this place is a pleasant hardworking lady who really try's to make your experience great. The food portions are huge and the food is always hot!!! If your looking for a chain like Chinese experience this is not for you!!! This isn't China Wok or Panda Express. This place feels more authentic - movie stereotype Mom and Pop take out. Good Flavor and lots of choices. Wife swears by the sweet and sour chicken because the breading and crunch of the chicken is bang-o-rang (hook reference). Frankie's Wok masks itself in an old plaza next door to East of Chicago pizza. If Waze was not reliable, I would circle around the plaza like a dog chasing his tail trying to obtain my Genera Tso chicken. Walking into the restaurant was a little... unnerving. While the staff was very friendly, the floors and walls held enough grease to lubricate my wheel bearings. The food itself was above average for take-out Chinese. There was a perfect amount of spice, the chicken was not covered in breading and tasted fresh. My only complaint is the lack of vegetables to compliment my rice.

The menu has so many options, so I turned to Yelp for guidance on what to order (shout out to all the people who take the time to upload photos, as I rely on these more than I realized). I quickly found my answer - sesame chicken (with broccoli) and yung chow fried rice!
The woman who answered the phone (an owner I believe) was so pleasant and efficient. We opted for the quart size option on both.

We have purchased sesame chicken, pepper steak and sweet and sour chicken from dinner menu which came with egg rolls. The lady at the counter was super friendly and hospitable.
The dining inside is limited, very old family style decor. I would agree and suggest a take out. I would give the food 3 star but the price and their hospitality were great. The 3 entrees were done in 15 minutes for us to pick it up. The menu on yelp is outdated so please check their website for up to date pricing but for Chinese cuisine around the area their price is great!

I found this place recently while running a random search on Asian food joint near my office apart from my regular one. They serve some of the best lo mein near my office and the portions are huge. Overall, this is a value for money place. Please be aware that they have limited seating available and are good for take away...
