Mavis Winkle's Irish Pub opened its doors in 2001 after a trip to Ireland brought inspiration. Original owners Bill and Mary Jo returned from their vacation aching to get back to the Emerald Isle. Instead of returning, they decided to bring the Emerald Isle to Northeast Ohio. After thirty years in the hospitality and restaurant business Ed and Tammy decided to live out their dream of owning a restaurant.

Always good people, good service and good food. The people are always friendly. The food always comes out fast and it's always good. The drink are always good too. The environment is always cool and relaxing and I have no complaints. I'll always come back here. This is good place to bring your kid and have a drink too.

I'd like to thank Ed, the owner, for coming over to the table to talk about his concept for the place and share some personal stories,and for Anne for answering questions by us and offering samples of the shepherd's pie which was tasty. My friends, wife and I all enjoyed our meals and our time there, including the live music by Castle. It was a nice end to an overall solid day in Ohio in and around Cleveland. Came in last night for trivia. I'd give 5 stars for the trivia but this review is for the food. Ordered the Thai salad. This consisted of lettuce, red pepper, green onion, carrots and sunflower seeds. No protein. Not sure what made this a Thai salad other than the dressing but for $14.99 I would not recommend this sad salad. The evening's irony? We won at trivia and now need to spend the winnings during another visit.

This place is somewhat confusing. We went there for the twins burgers but we're confused about the twin burgers restaurant being inside of Mavis Winkles Irish Pub. I have no idea why this was confusing to me but it is. Overall the experience was great and the burgers are probably some of the best burgers I've ever had my entire lifetime. The staff was nice and the restaurant was okay. I only say okay because it was an Irish pub and I'm not a big fan of bagpipes playing while I'm trying to have a meal. My favorite restaurant must have a new cook, the third time they burned my food. I ordered hamburgers to go, and the burgers were beyond chargrilled more of a downright burnt taste. So, I'm going elsewhere. I dropped into Mavis Winkles weekly when I'm in town. You might say, well, it was just a hamburger, but I felt like a big, juicy well-made hamburger with cheese, so the disappointment was momentarily all-consuming. Hey, I wouldn't bother to write a review if I didn't love food. I'm holding out that they take notice.

I've come to really appreciate Mavis. Really good fish and chips. Crispy, large pieces of fish always fresh. Although seems like an odd combo the reuben egg rolls are a great appetizer. Also have had a patty melt here that was good. They have a drink menu, full bar and often make me chocolate martinis that I really enjoy even tho I don't think they are actually on the menu. Worth a try!

If your looking for Irish fare look no further than right here at Mavis Winkles in Twinsburg Ohio. A fan favorite of ours is the Rueben Rolls; a great appetizer or a meal in itself. Corned beef is one of the highlights on this traditional Irish menu. So many great choices and a lot of specials with a full bar, outdoor patio and classic pub seating. Sure to please for gathering with friends, family or date night!

I like Mavis Winkle's. It's been around a long time, but has changed owners in the last couple of years.
That being said, it's still a great local restaurant. The food is fun "Irish American" fare, and despite the occasional kitchen glitch, it's pretty reliable in quality.
I will say, on our last visit, I was a little disappointed. I ordered the pork schnitzel with spatezele. The flavor of the sauce was nice, but the breading on the schnitzel, far from being crispy, was mushy and pale. Whether schnitzel is deep fried (not traditional) or pan fried, the crust

Wow, I ordered over the phone from a web post. The hostess tells me that she can't give me a total because of a busy moment. This was a carry out order. So she asked for my CC number and gain I asked for mo total. She repeated the order so I gave her my information, couple minutes later I called back and asked for the manager. Feeling worried. The e manager Ed assured me every thing was good. Green is the kicker, the prices were different from the we'd site. When I confronted the manager he blew me of my stating that I should of used there online ordering. Wow I used there menu on line

Went here for my first time last Wednesday which happened to be wing night.
I got a seat at the bar and the service was excellent.
I had 6 of the wet Cajun wings and a side Caesar salad.
The wet Cajun got to be a bit much so I'll try probably a dry rub next time and the Caesar was very good.
Also had a Jamo rocks and was well under $20. Good Hob!

We have ordered from this place twice now. The first time, I had the meatloaf and my husband had a Reuben. We thought it was fantastic. Flavorful, filling, NOT A CHAIN. All things we love. We decided to order again a week later and now I'm really sold. I had the pork schnitzel that was phenomenal. The combination of spaetzel, pork, onions and gravy was incredible. As good as any schnitzel I had while traveling through Bavarian villages in Germany last year. My husband had the paprikash that he said was outstanding too.

Coming home from a meeting in Hudson on a late afternoon Friday I felt like some Fish and Chips and Yelp recommended Marvis Winkles; I have driven by so many times and never stopped so why not. Located just off of I-480 in Twinsburg at the back corner of the shopping plaza, Mavis Winkles is a cozy Irish Pub with a small bar, 3 dining rooms and a patio. Decor is understated with lots of dark wood, a stone fireplace and robust tables and chairs. With the pandemic they are spacing out the tables used, requiring masks when not at a table and the employees are wearing masks as well. Service was

I'm not from the area, so I called ahead of time to get some info about social distancing measures, menu, etc. The person I spoke to was very helpful and didn't get annoyed (like so many restaurant workers seem to get). We were seated away from others upon request. Our food arrived quickly and was all very good. We ordered fish and chips, salmon burger, and salmon boxty. Everything was cooked to our requests, and the server came to check on us with regularity.

I'm pretty much addicted to the Guinness French Onion Soup. They give you a generous 12oz portion and brûlée the cheese on top to perfection. When you dig in the cheese stretches at a cartoonish level, it's amazing. And somehow, the croutons are still a little crunchy! It's difficult not to order this soup when I stop in.
Typically I go with the soup and sandwich combo, who can resist corned beef from the Irish? It's always tender and shaved and most importantly,
