Simple Estate Planning is often over looked because people believe it will be time consuming and costly. For the majority of our clients who are considering using a Will, a Health Care Directive (Living Will) and a Power of Attorney, this is simply not true. The primary purpose of a Will is to transfer assets upon death to the intended beneficiaries.
A Trust can achieve many purposes; avoiding probate and legal battles, lowering estate and/or income taxes and protecting privacy. Trusts are not the best solution in all cases, and it's important to carefully weigh the benefits and potential drawbacks. The desire to ensure that an heir is provided for financially is the most common reason for creating a Trust.

My estate situation was a little complicated. A father that received MA at the Care Center before passing away, a mother that passed away less than 2 months later. A disabled brother that still lived in the family home who was diagnosed with luekemia, also received MA, and passed away a couple of years later...... Even with all of this, things were ultimately resolved as simply and smoothly as possible.

I received a letter from Charles Kallemeyn regarding something I was involved with, I called, left a message to call me, they never called, so I called a few days later, they never called. A week later I left message with secretary for him to call, he never called. Tried one last time recently, with detailed message with secretary, no call back. And they often didn't answer the phone and had outdated message on the ans. service from another month. Not recommended at all.

Used them for probate. The secretary is super rude. I would call with one two minute question and the secretary would charge $26 to my account. I spoke with Kallemeyn only once at the very beginning. When all was done I know there was a balance of $110 which disappeared as it was zeroed out on the last statement. Crooks!

I worked with Charles Kallemeyn to help clear up a very sticky inheritance issue. His experience in real estate and compassion for my dilemma helped me wade through the muck and family drama to achieve the settlement I deserved. I am very grateful to Kallemeyn & Kallemeyn for handling my case with professionalism, respect, and diligence. I highly recommend this law firm.

Working with Lisa has been an experience I would like to forget. I made an attempt to reach out and communicate my issues to which she is unwilling to discuss or acknowledge error and wrongdoing. She even responded by saying that it was my fault that she misunderstood my plain english. From my perspective she just must not have taken the moment, that I paid for, to read the words that I took the time to write. She responded with a sharp tongue in an order to the court regarding me, interesting. Facts are facts and not needed to be emotional from a "professional", especially in the field of law
