In our continuing efforts to offer the highest quality veterinary medicine, we are pleased to provide a wide range of surgical services for our patients. From routine surgical procedures, such as spaying and neutering, to more complex surgeries, we look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet's surgical needs.

Dr. J. is a very unusual vet. He sits on the floor and studies our dogs. He reads the animals body language and responds to animal accordingly. I can't count the number of vets I have been to in the last 40+ years. He is truly exceptional.
And his staff is very good. Bobbi especially is efficient and knowledgeable. (I don't know the others well yet)
And Dr. J. teaches vet techs at the local tech center. I love that. And I had the pleasure of watching him interact with 2 of them recently, and it was a great experience to see how engaged they were and enjoying this practical learning opportunity

Keep your pets away!
Took our dog in for a simple heart worm test to get him on Heart Guard. They charged me $99.55 for the test+exam; but then wouldn't write me a prescription for the Heart Guard unless I paid another "Prescription Fee" that they failed to mention before taking my money for the exam!
These people only care about taking your money. The health of your pet means nothing to them.

Look, when it comes to vets in the Troy area, Dr. Johnston is the man. He's one of those rare diagnosticians. When we brought in our tripod dog, after having a rough experience at another local vet, Dr. J was on the floor, watching pups walk and really considering his situation. I just had this feeling that someone was in control and was partnering with me to bring my pup the best care. The staff is also very efficient, and the wait area is newly updated.
I just wish we would have gone to Miami Acres sooner, I could have saved $1000 that I didn't need to spend!
