Derek is amazing! I chose to walk through the house I was having inspected with him and he was more than happy to answer ALL of my questions. His reports are thorough but written in a way that is easy to understand and he is straight forward with the issues he finds which I appreciated.

Derek was great from the get-go. Easy to work with and very detailed, he left no stone unturned on the house we were looking to purchase. He found issues that were great to know before making a purchase of that magnitude. His detailed report was the icing on the cake. Pictures and descriptions of exact problems made it easy to solicit repairs and he was very helpful answering any questions we had. I can’t recommend Premier Home Inspections enough! You won’t regret using him as your home inspector.

Derek with PHI squeezed me in at the last minute to do a whole home inspection on my house, and was so incredibly responsive and thorough that he made the anxiety-provoking process of purchasing a home for the first time much easier. I was beyond shocked at how thorough his report was, considering how quickly he had it back to me. He even answered some additional questions I had about the home after completing the inspection that put my mind at ease. Derek is an honest and forthright person, a true straight shooter. He doesn't waste any time letting you know of any major issues he finds during his thorough inspection. I was interested in an investment property and had entered into a conditional contract for purchasing an old home and property on condition of passing inspection. Derek fit me in to his schedule very quickly, came to the property, and made a quick assessment before beginning the full inspection. In that initial assessment, Derek found so many issues with the property that he advised me that much more work would be needed to bring the home up to a saleable condition than I had anticipated. In the end, after I rescinded my offer to buy, I can safely say that Derek's assessment saved us over $10,000

Derek is THE man! As a Realtor, it is sometimes difficult to have love for a home inspector. Derek is fantastic. He has a construction background, will explain his inspections, will admit when he screws up and work to fix it. His inspections are thorough without being alarmist. My buyers always love him and sellers don’t hate him.

PHI got the job done perfectly! Derek Gander was great! He came out to do our inspection and realized not all of the utilities were turned on, so he immediately made us aware, and said “I can’t do this properly” My wife was able to get in touch with the sellers. Once the utilities on, Derek followed up and performed the inspection the same day. His work is thorough, and he's focused on doing a good job.
