Services
Ramona Ranch Winery is a federally bonded and licensed micro-winery, located on the east side of Ramona, specializing in handcrafted boutique Ramona wines that showcase the Ramona Valley AVA's fruit. You'll see Ramona Ranch around town, driving their vintage Cadillac, helping at the various harvests, participating in the excitement a common passion can bring, and the challenges that are inevitable when launching a family business.
When Micole and I moved to Ramona in 2004, we knew we wanted to live an agricultural lifestyle, but were not sure what exactly that would be. I knew I wanted to raise chickens and have a horse, all of which I'd been lucky enough to do growing up near the Oregon coast.

We saw a notice for a meeting of the Ramona Valley Vineyard Association (RVVA) and went, finding a warm and welcoming group that today continues to welcome new members on a monthly basis, moving from individual homes to the Ramona Valley Grill as the number of attendees has increased.
Here at Ramona Ranch, the basics are what's important to us, with a focus on creating a safe-place, be that for our guests, our vines or our many rescue animals. We're invested in our shared future, continually improving on our journey to sustainability, and are proud to be San Diego's only certified sustainable Vineyard and Winery.

Great wine, great service. My wife and I came here during the worst heat wave (Labor day wknd, 113 deg), but Laurel was great, and we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful property, and amazing wine. Reds and whites. We’re not really white drinkers, but with the heat, we absolutely loved the Viognese and even bought a bottle for a good price. Would highly recommend it =)

Ramona Ranch Vineyard was a great experience, the wine tasting, my first, to the owners, Teri and Mike being so friendly and spending time with their customers. Also Laurel with her kind service and wine knowledge to friendly Hank and Emma, the resident dogs.
Over all wonderful time spent and highly recomended.

Was our first time there and really looking forward to tryout ng the wines butwaited over 20snd no one came to our table, and had to go to this and the waitress. She took our order, waited another 15 min and waitress returned, asking to repeat our order. PeopleW who arrived after us were getting served. Maybe my dress (that I put on special that go there). 10 more minutes in hot sun. No water. Eating others get served. Not sure what the issue was so We decided to leave and went to up the hill grill, got much needed ice water right away.

Been here a few times both by myself and with company, the setting is serene and relaxing. Because they have so many plants, they have lots of birds and butterflies!
The wine is delicious, there is a good variety of whites and reds as well!

I make the 40 minute drive to Ramona Ranch Winery from San Diego at least 6 times per year and it is worth it. IMO this is the best and most consistent winery in San Diego County. If you were thinking about making the trek to Temecula, save your gas and come to Ramona Ranch. My wife and I have both brought our families to the winery and they loved it. My favorite is the sangiovese. Ramona has great growing conditions which allow grapes to ripen without being overly sweet. Great owners and homey environment.
