Cordiano Winery
Nestled in the hills of Highland Valley in North County San Diego, you'll find Cordiano Winery, a family-owned and operated vineyard that takes pride in the craftsmanship of quality wines and of the labor practiced for ages in the old country. The winery is a lifelong dream realized; a reflection of the love and passion of its proprietors, Gerardo and Rosa Cordiano.

Gerardo and Rosa moved to New York in the early 1970s from Calabria, Italy. Gerardo began his first job working at Pavone's, a pizzeria in upstate Syracuse, where he honed his recipes for pizza dough and sauce while routinely working 16 hour days; meanwhile Rosa raised their three children, learning the new language and adopting the American culture.
Services
Mixed greens with dried cranberries, feta cheese and toasted almonds; homemade citrus vinaigrette on the side. Chopped romaine lettuce topped with selection of meats and cheeses, fresh tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, pepperoncini, red onions, and our homemade vinaigrette. Tomato sauce base with mozzarella, red bell peppers, mushrooms, grilled zucchini and fresh tomatoes.

The views are great, but the wine... there are worse but Pinot Grigio is borderline undrinkable and that's a hard one to do bad. The food was meh. Sorry to say but for the money they should be doing much better on both wine and food.

The best Italian food is there and his owners are pretty kind. Gerardo, Rosa and his son. I love pizza, lasagne , breadsticks, pesto pasta. Spaghetti and meet balls and tiramisu as dessert. OMG! I love everything jajaja

My husband did a ride up to Cordiano Winery with his colleagues and asked if I wanted a bottle. I thought that was a sweet gesture so I perused the menu. Before I could choose, he told me that he witnessed staff provide other patrons paper menus, and when he asked for one the staff member told him to scan a QR code instead. I told him don't worry about bringing any of the wine home if he couldn't even get a menu from staff after seeing others around him get printed ones. We'll purchase where we're respected.

Come here for the view and food! This winery has the best view I've ever seen, and the food was also delicious and reasonably priced. The wine flight I tried was pretty mediocre but the views and food more than made up for it. If you can time a sunset here, it would be pretty spectacular but you may need a reservation for that. An hour before the sunset, we left, and I saw it was getting busier.

We were running about half an hour behind our reservation time but they were still able to seat us, on a Saturday, on the balcony nonetheless! I believe they observe a 2 hour time limit which meant we lost the first half an hour.

The views are beautiful! I think as one Yelper mentioned definitely take
Zyrtec! We did notice a bee issue, not particularly around our table though. At the table behind us the little girl was making a game of catching the bees underneath the cups lol.

You are given menus, however, you do have to go to the bar to place your own order. A bit unexpected and inconvenient

What a great date night spot! The view is like you are in another city, maybe even Europe. They have a TON of wine for being a family business. The flight was fun and tasty. If you are a sweet wine lover this is your place!

I would love to have given five stars except for a few things that could be fixed. They advertise live music on certain nights and that is why we went the evening we did. They did not have live music on a Wednesday, not sure if that was just this night or a new schedule. The cheese board was very pricey at 19.00 for salami, two bruschetta, two slices of bread, two kinds of

My wife and I love Cordiano! You get great views, especially around sunset! The wine is good, and the food goes really well with any of the wines. They have great pizza and pasta options.

Loved it and the view. Took a friend for their 70th bday. Wish we could have done a tab or had a little excitement for her b day desert. But that didn't ruin the night.

I'm not a wine drinker but the wine here was nice and flavorful and not overbearing!
Something I do like is bread, and this place surprisingly had some broom as* bread sticks! No lie I would come back just for that!
They were able to accommodate us without a reservation which was a win!

The scenery was gorgeous, the best views. They had amazing live music when I was there.

For people with allergies: definitely take zyrtec because the winds carry everythin up from the valley

For sweet white wine lovers: the moscato was amazing!

Such a great date night, we will 100% be back!

The pizza fresca was amazing too!

Great food and awesome wine.
The staff is overworked which sucks. I am writing this in hopes management actually sees this. I had workers tell me they were too busy to take a picture of our table. Our food came out incorrect twice. If your venue is a reservation only space then you should allow reservations for enough tables for your staff to handle

This place is a nightmare. Truly hell on Earth and walking out was the best sense of relief.

We were so excited to come to Cordiano. So many people had raved about the pizza and told us what a great experience we would have.

Although parking was difficult to find, we were excited to be seated along the edge of the property for a great scenic view of the vineyards.

There is no table service. You order at one of two stations and orders are brought to your table based on your table number. We ordered wine tastings, appetizers, pizza and a pasta. After spending over $100, we were excited for

We did a staycation. We are staying at the Lawrence welk resort. Went up to Cordiano Winery. Wow just wow. Great food and great wines. Service was awesome. Avoid the drive up to Temecula. This place, plus 2 more wineries going up that way are great! Kid friendly.

We love Cordiano Winery! It's a little bit of a drive for us, but it's a worthwhile drive for lunch and a glass of wine (or two). They have expanded their patio seating. It's all covered and shaded, and every table gets a spectacular view. Every so often we caught a breeze for a nice welcome coolness on a very hot day.

They have a full menu of pizzas and pastas. It all sounds delicious. This last time we were here, we ordered a margherita pizza and a bottle of Duetto Bianco white blend wine. The wine was crisp and refreshing, perfect for this very warm day in So Cal. The

First time checking out this winery with some friends and it was amazing!

The views are breathtaking and the food was scrumptious. I'm craving that black truffle pizza again as I write this review.

Because of COVID they don't take your order so you have to be functional enough to go place your order and carry your wine back. They do bring the food out to you.

This winery is a must visit! 12/10

First time to came here. As everybody said the view from the patio is fantastic!! I wanted to do wine tasting but they only have table survive now. (Order at counter by self) I didn't have a reservation but we could walk in on Saturday afternoon.

I ordered the tasting set $20 at the bar counter. 5 kinds of wine, comes with a wine glass. I enjoyed them one by one using it

We can see the vineyard closely from the patio and the parking lot as well. I like to see it.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Great brick oven pizza. We don't drink but that didn't matter. Absolutely GORGEOUS setting. Felt like a little bit of Italy. Getting the late reservation for the sunset was well worth it.

We went to the Cordiano Winery for dinner with friends, but necessarily for wine tasting (but we did get to try some of their wines!) The food was good, maybe not knock your socks off, but good. One of our friends had the Black Truffle pizza which I thought was very good. Portions were healthy and perfect for sharing.
The wines were very good although we only tried one white and a few reds.
We'll be coming back to try more of the wines and consider switching wine memberships.
The location was gorgeous!

This winery stands out amongst others in the area due to it's views! A great place to grab a bite to eat while wine tasting.

The wines are good, as is the pizza. On my visit, the service was a bit irregular, yet perhaps it was an off day as others say the service is excellent.

On a sustainability note, I was really confused as to why we had real utensils, disposable (compostable) plates, real wine glasses and single-use plastic cups for non-wine drinks. Clearly they have a dishwasher and can save money and other resources by opting for reusable everything when someone dines in...
